By the way, is anyone else noticing that when Moore is in traffic he's afraid to lift his arms to make a catch? He did it on back to back plays today on high passes he could have reached up for but didn't even lift his arms at all. The second one almost ended up being a pick because of it. And this isn't the first game I've noticed this trait in Moore.

We put in ourselves in a tough position... Could be a possible "must win" situation against the Cardinals in week 17...

The Seattle Seahawks broke a franchise record in their 26-23 loss to the 49ers on Sunday, although it was a rather dubious one. Their 148 penalty yards broke the previous franchise high of 145, which was set way back on December 8, 1979... SO today was the most penalty yards in Seahawks history ...

THIS
people, the NFL is rigged, as we see often times,
we should have learned this in the DET SB game vs Pitt in 2005.

Every couple weeks, see it all the time when refs can directly affect the outcome.
Usually it is PI and a crucial Holding, OL or Def holding., either extending drives late or taking away 1st downs late.
Just today, NE was hosed by some bad calls late also.
same with a few early day games.

If you think about it, it is even easier to fix NFL than basketball, where in Hoops when refs try and dictate the game the players still have to make free throws. Missing FT can screw up the Refs attempts in hoops, as we saw in PAC years ago when DBag Larry Scott was trying to Fix PAC games.
The NFL is rigged, with Vegas implications big time.

Players play, I don't think that's even questioned, BUT you have to watch the refs closely in any sports league because it's VERY easy to rig things in any sport if you have a fix in... But when it happens you can see it plain as day, it's hard for them to hide it.... I remember watching the NBA and freaking out over cheesy foul calls all the dam time, and sure enough an NBA refs comes forward admitting to point shaving, and he said other were involved... We as fans should always demand accountability...

and you already know the cardinals are going to give everything they got to win that game knowing if we lose we may not go to the playoffs

I am upset with the offense they had two great chances to win the game the first was late in the 4th quarter literally all they had to do was get the ball in field goal range and in overtime we couldn't get the ball past mid field.

But hey they are still divisional rivals they know how to play us its just one of those games.

This offense is going to have major problems if we get holding calls. If your main aim is to get 10 yards at a time, a 10 yard penalty really throw a wrench in things.

OL has become a problem again. Namely, Ethan Pocic is a large problem.

I think we saw yesterday why Simmons had leap frogged him on the depth chart...

Obviously you want to win games like this against bad teams, but assuming the Seahawks beat the Cardinals in week 17, the only tangible thing that came from this loss is likely giving the 49ers a worse draft pick.

I suppose there's a chance the Hawks could end up going to Chicago instead of Dallas, but they still have the inside track to the 5th spot.

It's concerning for sure. I also think that once a team starts to get a reputation for their O-line holding it gets into the ref's heads and they start looking for it more. Could be another reason we seem to get penalized more than other teams all the time.

Refs shouldn't do that though, they should call the games how they see it and fairly, If they're looking at one team harder that's not cool ... Just call a foul if you see an obvious foul, against either team ...

I agree that's what they should do. I'm just not convinced that's how it always works. We know for a fact that once a player gets a rep for being dirty (like Vontaze Burfict for example) he will no longer get the benefit of the doubt on a questionable hit. The refs start watching players like him closer than do for players that have a clean reputation. That's my theory anyway. And if Refs do it with individual players because of their reputation I don't think it's a stretch to believe they might also do with teams too.

Got back late Mon night from my trip to the game, figure pretty much everything I would say has already been shared so maybe a couple things that came from actually being there:

- the field sucks. It was the first thing I noticed when it hit my eyes as I walked into the bowl from the concourse. Could be overuse, and it may get worse if the Raiders end up sharing it for a year. Either way, hard to understand how such a new stadium could already have a garbage field, but it is.

- the weather helped make some sloppy football -- windy early, then a pretty steady rain. doesn't pair with a crappy field all that well.

This was the sort of games that happens to most "good" teams at least once a year -- you go on the road (often against a dvi rival) and stuff happens (14 penalties, give up a KO return TD, lose a TD on an off-side, equalizing weather, etc.) -- but that's the NFL. You throw it away and move on. I expect a much better showing on Sun night.

I hear ya ... makes sense, you just wish they wouldn't get caught up in that, but they are human ,...
