i'm surprised how many people are rooting for Philip Rivers to win a SB ring .... i've always found his personality to be kind of irritating and whiny.

i'd much rather see Brees win another or Deshaun to win it .... someone more likable at least

I don't mind his personality so much lately, early on it was bothersome.

As a rule though I'm not a big fan of overt god boys.

Now that is the veteranship of Phillip Rivers teaching Maholmes a young boy lesson. I thought the chargers were stupid to go for two over taking it to overtime, but now I can see why given the home advantage for KC and the fact that XPs are risky nowadays.

I think they should a kicked the extra point, it's still not a long kick ... I guess the Chargers have no confidence in there defense had they lost the toss...

Maybe Deshaun should play like last year.

It's called "having balls".

If Pete Carroll had any Marshawn would have probably run it in from the two and everyone wouldn't have spent that last 3 and 3/4 years laughing at the Seahawks.

1 horrible call and 1 missed call by the refs molded that game. BS DPI on the Chiefs to put the Chargers at the 1 yard line and a missed OPI on the Chargers on that last TD. Great last drive by Rivers but, for me, it was tainted by the refs.
This feels like every close game with the Chiefs. The difference between the Ravens game and the Chargers game was the refs.

It's man coverage. Wr makes a move, contact is made, someone or both players push off.

Game on the line, it's a terrible way to finish football games. I have to keep score on how many the Chiefs get away with and how many they were robbed.

I thought it was the right call. The last thing I wanted was for KC and Mahomes to get the ball first in OT and possibly drive for a winnign TD in front of the home crowd. With our record, the Chargers can absorb a loss and not really get hurt in the playoff standings, so nothing to lose going for the 2-point conversion.

I think that's the best point about the 2 point conversion. If they were maybe just fighting to get into the play-offs, maybe they can't risk it. But they are in no matter what. The reward side is the big confidence boost getting that KC monkey off their back. They have also been really successful on 2 point conversions this year, something like 6 for 8 now.

I think not having balls would a been the better call, for Pete that is, throwing it there was actually having balls, because it was RISKY AS #@$^@#$^#@ ..... Handing it to Lynch was the right little balls call ... lol

I love the clip from an interview with Pete in the days or weeks after that SB.

He says something like; The play is called Halo and it's a great call there .......... if it works :laugh3:

Lynch was only 1 for 6 on 3rd and 4th and 1's for the year,so I think it was a good call, and Wilson seeing tight coverage should have run it into the end zone. It worked for Philly in the SB with the Philly special, so a call when everybody expects the run, was good imo. Luckily Browner bumped his guy , helping the pick a lot easier, or prob a TD. Now Browner is gonna be in the Clink and don't mean Seattle's stadium for the next 10 at least, shame

Ouch ... Dareell Bevell said he didn't regret the call , HOW THE #@$^$@# don't you regret it ? You were 1 yard away from back to back titles and you don't regret the call ? That's like stepping in-front of a train and quickly saying, DON'T REGRET IT, BAM!!!!!! I"m seeing stars!!! WTF was that ? I don't regret it !!!! I'd do it all over again if my body wasn't all mangled up and I wasn't breathing !!!

If your defense gave up touchdowns on 50% of their drives, you wouldn't either. It was a slow-burn kinda shootout in the end.

On that drive Lynch was feeling it though, more was on the line, human nature, he would a went crazy to cross that line... BUT hey, I"m not saying throwing the ball there is totally off the wall, but don't run a slant route, have Wilson roll out off play action, go for a safer pass, running a slant the ball can be slapped away at the line, picked off, or the receiver might tip it and it get's intercepted easier with so much congestion in the end-zone... OR a guy might jump the route, which is what happened...

He only had 1 touch on that drive. Big run, by him, big run by Wilson and then the fluke batted ball catch at the 3 yard line. He was stuffed earlier in the game on either 3rd and one or 4th and one

You might win the toss though, so there is that... I"m just not a fan of saying ok let's make it all or nothing if you don't have to do that... It would be safer to go into OT and find a way, but that's a coaches decision, but if he does that in the playoff and the team loses he's gonna take a lot of heat, so much on the line and your seriously rolling the dice...

I would be defending Lynn there, and I have given him a lot of crap about being conservative in the past. It sucks for it to come down to one play and have fans on your ass if it doesn't work, but it was the right call.

2 touches, he had the one big play on the pass down the sideline, and then almost scored on the run right after the crazy catch by Kearse...
