The first thing I checked on when I saw the 2019 schedule was if we played Oregon at home. This gave me a little hope.

Yeah, USC is always gonna have loads of talent, getting KK at OC definitely worries me as a Duck. You guys should have a dynamic offense. I was at the Oregon at SC game in 2012 and that was about the most entertaining back and forth affair I have seen in person. I hope we can continue to recruit at the level as we are this year, I think we will have some fun battles ahead if so!

That game was entertaining. Man time flies. You guys are recruiting well. I didn’t have much hope for next year but that changed with the KK hire. I hope it works out.

Michigan State has
@Michigan
@Ohio State
Penn State
@Wisconsin
@ Northwestern

Not top ten worthy but that’s a tough slate of road games.
No potential play-off teams in that group.

LSU has a trap game with Texas. The week before they play Ga. Southern and the week after they play Northwestern St.
What the hell were they thinking?
Texas would still be crappy? Hate to say this, it pains me, but PeeWee just might bring them to life again.

It’s time for some standardization on schedules between the conferences. Same number of conference games, only one FCS opponent every 3 years, etc.

Yeah, the other conferences should follow the SEC and ACC model. By far the most successful. Only P5 conferences to not be left out of the playoffs, and your national champion has come from the SEC or ACC 11 of the last 12 years.

You'd think the other conferences would learn, but nobody ever accused yankees, hippies and Texans of being smart.

Ohio States OOC schedule next season is not good. They don't have their traditional big time matchup. That said, they still have the East to contens with and have Northwestern, Wisconsin, and Nebraska (who I'm assuming will be much improved in Frost's second year) in their crossover games so overall it should still end up being respectable

Like 50% of those 11 are one team. I think it's less do with your conference model and more to do with Nick Saban

Eh...dont put a lot of stock in preseason schedule perception. People shit on Bama schedule this year but we ended the season with the most top 25 victories and teams played.

Your not totally wrong in the ACC/SEC conference games playoff appearances comparison. But let’s be honest with ourselves both leagues have had basically the same team in it every year. Sure FSU and UGA made it, but it’s not like the 8 game conference schedule is allowing new teams to make it. An I do remind you 1 out of 14 isn’t representative of a conference.

The 8 game conference schedule certainly helps the resumes though.

I call BS of the Florida rating …

They play 2 FCS teams next year (Tenn.-Martin and Towson) … that alone sets them out of the top 25

Their other 2 OOC games are Miami and Florida St … which are bout around middle of the road teams (right now) and I'm not seeing them break into the top 10 next year

… Then there is Vandy on their schedule and of course last place Tenn. (what is that --- around 6 wins already)

So if Florida can eek out 1 win against (a couple of 7-5 teams) Auburn and Tenn. or against LSU or Georgia ---Florida can say that they are Bowl eligible next year

.... (they need 7 wins because they play 2 FCS teams and only 1 will count --- which is another reason to drop their SOS down)
I suspect the writer has some sec glasses on when the article was created …

I think Cincinnati will only be better next year, and they were 10-2 this year. Not a world-beater, but better than TCU.

Plus after next year, we start a pretty impressive run of OOC games.
