Just some history:

When the Hoop started, there wasn't many of us. All refugees from the ESPN College Football general board.

We all hung out in "the water cooler" and that's where we talked about everything. Football and OT stuff.

More people came. A shit load of hockey fans and more CFB fans.

I didn't like the new rules that came down where football threads had to come here and OT stuff was on the cooler, but over time it was waaaaay better.

There is alot of traffic on both boards (and now the Politics board too) so you don't have to worry about not getting attention no matter the topic.

Football goes here.

OT stuff in the water cooler.

Politics on the poli board.

It's simple and it works.

Now fuck off
Yep, everything used to be on the General forum, because the rest of the forums just simply weren't active enough.

Couldn't imagine that today. It'd be insane.

I like the new Rivals peeps for the most part. There will be a few that will try to swing their dicks and push the boundaries, and will eventually get bounced (happens with every migration - CBS, Fox, FanNation, etc). Some will find that the layout, rules and style, just isn't for them and will go back to Rivals. Then of course there will be a core that find that this place is more their speed and will stick around for the long run. Just have to have somewhat of a sense of humor and be able to take the heat, as well as being able to dish it out. If a certain poster actually bothers you too much, then you can put them on "ignore" and none of their posts will be visible to you.

I've been impressed with the majority of the newcomers so hope they stick around.
