No one can take even a detailed look at the 4 of them and come up with Haener and his hot reporter mom starting next season. He's shorter, can't run anything close to Colson, doesn't have anything close to the arm of either Sirmon or Eason, and Eason at 6'5" with that rifle of an arm also has a full year of starting experience under his belt. You have to be football retarded to think the 3* kid with nearly no experience and what experience he has is just bad that has a weaker arm and not as mobile as others is going to get the nod... because his mom is hot. :L That quite literally is fucking retarded.
Yeah, the one wildcard though, the staff likes him. As much as we love our staff we know they aren’t above some dumb shit, especially for kids they like. Don’t forget Lindquest and the start of the wildcat fuckery.

I’m not worried, but it’s not quite 100% when you factor that in.

Redshirt freshman Haener emerges as backup to starting UW quarterback Browning

UW Huskies fall preview: Can Jake Haener hold on to No. 2 QB job?

BREAKOUT CANDIDATE: The Huskies have one of the most talented QB rooms in the country — four- and five-star recruits all over the place — but redshirt freshman Jake Haener (listed generously at 6-feet tall and 196 pounds) came to UW with little fanfare. After redshirting last fall, Haener was one of the most impressive players on offense during the spring, establishing himself as the clear-cut No. 2 QB going into the summer. “It’s just so tried and true: You can’t fake having an edge. You just can’t,” Hamdan said in April. “And that’s one guy, every day he shows up here he sees all these big, beautiful 6-4 guys around him who can do this and do that — when really, they haven’t done anything yet — and he sits there and says, ‘OK, bring it on.’ I think that shows in how he plays the game and how throws the ball and in the decisions he makes and how into it he is.

“Every night he’s texting me, ‘Hey, man, can you talk to me about this; can you talk to me about that.’ That’s what’s really cool about a player like that: He’s got everybody against him and he’s taken that motto and I think his play has shown.”

Let's let the gang here make the call...

YOU are the head coach of a major college football program. Your current starting QB is gone after this bowl game and you have 4 kids to pick from to start next year. We will call them A, B, C, and D. Here's the vitals:

A - 3* recruit 6'0" and 196 was ranked 25th pro style in his class. No starts, but lost a game for you and has 2 years on the bench in your program.

B - 4* 6'4" 209 and ranked 6th dual threat QB in his class. One year red shirt under his belt.

C - 4* 6'5" 221 and ranked 6th pro style in his class. One year red shirt under his belt.

D - 5* 6'5.5" 208 and ranked 2nd pro style in his class. One full year starting QB in the SEC, one year as a backup there, and one year learning this team/system.

D and C have arms that make them real deep ball threats. B can beat you on the ground or air. A has a hot mom.

Which do YOU choose? :L

Top 5 Quarterback Recruit Performances from 2016 Oakland Elite 11 Regional

2. 3-Star Jake Haener

  1. While most people knew who the other passers on this list were, few were expecting 3-star Jake Haener to be standing among the final six passers in the Pressure Chamber event.

Still, the 6’0”, 180-pounder entered the day with plenty of confidence in his abilities.

“I just wanted to do the best I could. I knew that if I come in and throw the ball the way I know I can throw it, it’s up there with the top guys in the country,” Haener said. “I’m not scared of competing with them. They are all great guys. I’m just glad I performed well.”

He turned in a performance that was among the most consistent of any passer in attendance.

In terms of accuracy and ball placement, Haener was outstanding all day long. He completed three of his five passes in the Pressure Chamber—with one miss coming after a receiver ran the wrong route and an interception off a tipped ball.

Overall, his body of work was strong enough to catch the attention of the staff and hold it enough to land a spot in the finals next month.

Yogi’s Breakdown: “He’s a guy with seven offers, and none out of the Power Five. He’s a guy who has had that chip on his shoulder since his freshman year.

"He came out today, and Coach Dilfer called out a couple of guys to start. He said, ‘Jake, you’re one of the best guys I’ve seen on film in five or six years of doing this, but can you do it today and commit to developing your body?’ He’s not the thickest or strongest of guys, but he can do one thing that is critical and necessary: He can hit spots. He can hit any spot in the passing tree on rhythm with timing and even when it’s chaotic. He did it all day long. He dropped dimes from the first throw to the last.”

You must just be fucking retarded. The coaches love Haener. No shit. He's their backup because they really had no one else going into this year. News flash: They love all 4 and now have quite a few options. Haener is not going to be one of them. Watch film on any of them. Hell, you had a massive hard on for Colson until you got all freaked out over Haener's mom.

Only a stupid fvck who pretends to have a clue about football would hold a single INT against a kid who had taken less than a dozen snaps in a college football game.

:nono: Not without flying down from your compound and kidnapping her. But you can do that without throwing your team away in the process.
