He's getting pressure behind the scenes. Why would any school
hire an OC and then announce the HC is gonna call the plays.

That's a compromise. Then it's using spin to shield the coach
from outside abuse.

The way it reads to me is they are bringing a new "offense" and
dumping Gus' offense. He can call the plays, but it will be the
other guy's plays he's calling...not his.

Gus' ego thinks no one can call a game like himself. I guarantee he is thinking he is going to personally move the offense back to 2010 and 2013 levels through his brilliance.

Regardless of Gus’ ego. There literally is no point to calling someone an OC and then not having him call plays.

He hired a QB coach hoping someone on staff can actually develope a QB. The OC label is a farse.

Just look at AG's thread about what car did the DB who flipped from Michigan was driving. They are all in there laughing and joking about Dodge Chargers. Why? Because they know they cheat and I've spent my whole life amongst them while they tell stories of Bear Bryant and what he got away with but if you say Bama is cheating they will get defensive and deny it.

It's a psychological mystery how they can brag about cheating one minute and deny it the next.

It's so incredibly stupid it doesn't even need to be addressed.
