If I'm reading the HOF tracker spreadsheet right, some idiot named Steven Marcus voted for exactly one guy on his ballot: Edgar Martinez. Another asshat who should lose his vote. I'm sure @DefCONNOne agrees.

Obviously very early, but with just 19 votes in, the following have gained votes from returning voters:

Edgar +5
Mussina +4
Schilling +3
Walker +3
McGriff +2

Bonds, Clemens, Kent, Rolen, Sheffield, Omar all +1

Another dumb voter, but from a guy who's a known guy and not dumb: Jon Heyman voted for Bonds but not Clemens. Makes no damn sense.

Didn’t he write an article last year explaining his split vote?

I have no idea but I'd love to hear his logic. You agree it's as silly as yes Clemens no Bonds though, right? As you said above, either trolling or a personal vendetta.

Another Bonds no Clemens yes voter, Rene Cardenas. I will call out every idiot who does this that I can find. Anyone who votes for only one of those two should lose his vote.

I still think Bonds and Clemens get in the Hall but not during the same year. Looking at the tracker, Curt Schilling is at 75%. I liked him as a pitcher but don't know if I buy him as a Hall of Famer.

Harold Baines is in the HoF? Harold Baines??? You gotta be kidding me! A solid player but jeez they are watering down the Hall with stuff like this.
Dude didn't even bat .290 for his career and averaged about 15 homers per year. ridiculous.

I am AOK with Smith getting in, but yea. Baines getting in is a joke.

I love the fucking Orioles.
I always thought HAROLD BAINES was a wildly under-rated and often overlooked player in his era.

I am glad he got recognized. He was far better than a lot of superstars in his era. He should get recognized.
He was Kawhi Leonard quiet and shy. He never promoted himself as a star player nor did baseball promote him.

His peak was during a period where nobody had great numbers. He was really really really really good in his peak.

But, the hall of fame is a stretch in all honesty....

Kawhi by contrast is considered a great player....I don't think Baines at any point in his career was great.

Who ever seriously watched Baines and thought, that is a HOFer? A HOF player is a guy a team gets outbidded for in FA not a guy teams let walk or trade in their prime.

Two of the worst HOF elections of my lifetime. Good lord. They make Morris and Rice look good.
