That show is fucking ridiculous, it sucks and is a waste of time
They know what they're doing...using the old "cliffhanger" formula.

You'd hear about something significant on the news first. The show is taped over the Spring/Summer. There's no way they could keep anything big under wraps for that long

I think there is a chance they find the Lost Ark of the Covenant. My guess is they destroy it trying to recover it if they have not already with that cason drill.

The real treasure is Dave Blankenships 70's bush pron collection.

yea, it’s kinda like an old ladies tits. You don’t really want to see but you look anyway. :pound:

I’ll admit I watch it but I think if a treasure was buried there it’s long gone already. They make it sound like they discovered something earth shattering and when they show it you think, damn, that’s it? I’m a glutton for punishment so I’ll keep watching to see if they finally find something to write home about.

Biz (remember him?) went with the wife and kids a little while ago.

Got the tour from Gary the metal detector dude.

Dude cracks me up when he finds something shiny and says,”That’s a Bobby dazzler!”

Dazzy Vance got his nickname from a cowboy who would say "that's a dazzy!" about anything that impressed him.

You don't care?? Don't even know who Dazzy Vance was??!
Well, fuck you!!!!

My FIL (he's 91, watches a lot of TV) brought this program up again the other day with me.

"They're getting closer, I'm sure they'll find something this season."

Everyone needs something to look forward to.

It's like a fishing show to me, you just get drawn in and in a blink, it's been a half hour. Some of their finds are interesting, especially with the effort that had to be involved to initially put the "treasure" there, but if they do find it, I doubt it'll be earth shattering (ala National Treasure movies).

Get a bottle of Crown Royal, and follow along on Reddit, makes the show much more enjoyable.

Maybe they'll match Geraldo Rivera in finding something truly exciting like a glass bottle that Al Capone just might have pissed in?

Why bother with the show if you have Crown Royal???

You have to follow the Drunk Island thread on Reddit during the show.

Drink everytime someone sniffs a piece of wood shit like that.

Watched last nights episode.....nothing new discovered, no bobby dazzlers. i don't know why i watch other than maybe they find something significant. So far, this program has been interesting as far as a history lesson but no earth shattering discoveries.

New season starts tomorrow. Watching the preview now. My dumb ass will watch it even though I don’t think they will find the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.

So this my theory on this island. They keep finding evidence of occupation of the island from a long time ago and although there may have been a buried treasure there at one point I think it’s long gone and what they are finding now is just evidence that the island was used as a ship repair location back in the day.
