We need to pin this and have it for the off season to debate over..... ( since we all like to bring our 2 cents)

Could probably bring it back up after the recruiting class is all wrapped up and we know who is leaving for the draft. Possibility that some of those positions could look much different.

I've seen him graded anywhere between the first and third rounds. Same with Byron Murphy. Not sure what to expect with either of them right now. Would be awesome if both or either stayed.

Looking at 2019, the Husky receiving options could be a huge strength on this offense.

Huskies' leading receivers Aaron Fuller, Ty Jones and Andre Baccellia all return and get another offseason to learn the offense and improve on their respective weaknesses. The Huskies will then add very talented redshirt freshmen Marquise Spiker, Austin Osborne and Trey Lowe to the rotation. That goes without saying that next year we will also get a full year of a healthy Hunter Bryant on the offense as well.

It's also noteworthy that I saw some post on a Facebook page about Chico McClatcher possibly coming back at some point this season, which I assume would mean he would be coming back next year? I don't know on that one, can't really find any other source.

jfc, can someone, anyone just throw the fucking wildcat play out? :L Can we do that. :burt: After just watching even the beavs blow that shit up.

End it. Stop the bleeding. It is the worst play this team has on the books. Burn it with fire.

I just cracked up after that first touchdown. Been running this bullshit all year, have done nothing but straight zone draws, and now you’re gonna change it up and do something different with it against Oregon fucking state?

And then they straight wreck it for a 5 yard loss the next time they run it.

Sadly, it’s not going away, throwing in that wrinkle against OSU only means they’re showing WSU that they can. :L

Not entirely looking forward to the AC this week given that WSU seems to be functioning at a higher level and UW still can't keep from stepping on their own junk on offense. While I think UW's D can give them more fits than most other teams, I'm not convinced they can play well enough on special teams and offense for 4 quarters to get it done on the road.

I am. Just the same shit that has to be overcome in every other game. I’m not convinced the WSU offense is any better than it’s been in the last couple years. They’ve had their defense functioning the last couple years too. The biggest difference for their team right now is they didn’t shit the bed against a scrub team. Should be a good game.

Their QB is a substantial upgrade over the versions we have seen in prior years. UW will HAVE to find a pass rush without blitzes like they were able to when they had Vea manhandling people the last couple of AC's.

And no, I don't expect their D to be that big of a factor, but our O can stop themselves just fine.

He brings an extra spark, but at the end of the day his stats are on par with 2016 Falk, little better than last year Falk, but he missed some time too. He’s the same product of the system as the rest of them. No Vea hurts, and has all year, but it’s the same formula, we still have the physical secondary that can jam their receivers and throw off their timing.

I’m not expecting the same domination we’ve seen, but I don’t feel hopeless about it either.

Cougs run D is world class bad and while our backfield will get a total workout vs the air raid, I still believe we have a huge advantage in this game, even if its in Pullman.

Huskies win by 7 to 10 points, unless we show up playing like garbage out of the gate like Cal. I dont think we will. Not for this game. Too much Gaskin and Ahmed will be the difference.

If someone told me a year ago this season would come down to one game against the Cougs I would've called them a drunk!

Glad some of you are more optimistic, but I have a bad feeling about this game.

I just don't trust this offense and I'm not sure they will have the pass rush they need to cover for a totally crap offense.

No I'm feeling that way as well...... I just don't see the Dawgs pulling off this upset....

This game needs to have a page taken out of PC's play book. Keep running the ball, move those chains and keep the Cougs offense on the side line. This game is possible if the O doesn't shit the bed in the first half.

For what it's worth, the major bowl projections don't seem to have much faith in the Huskies winning the Apple Cup.

ESPN, CBS, SB Nation and Sports Illustrated all have WSU playing Ohio State in the Rose Bowl with the Huskies playing in either the Alamo Bowl or Holiday Bowl.

On the bright side for the Huskies, that seems to imply that whoever wins the Apple Cup will be playing in the Rose Bowl.

Agree with that. Lots and lots of Gaskin, Ahmed, and the rest of the stable pounding the rock to help keep the Cougs O minutes to a minimum.

Cant wait for this game. Great to see a really competitive apple cup happening with all the marbles for PACN on the line.

Wouldn't put that much stock into bowl projections. Of course they are going to mostly pick WSU as the conf champs. I mean they are the only 1 loss team and no one else has less than 3.

And yes, there are lots of reasons to like how this sets up for UW:
WSU blowing out a shitty team last week has them a bit full of themselves
UW basically had the last two weeks off and have lots of rest
Gaskin, Adams, and more back to fully available. Might be the healthiest the team has been all year
ALL of the pressure is on WSU. They are favored, haven't beaten the huskies in a long time, and even have a remote outside shot at the playoffs.

A lot of things to like there.

And yet, this is still the worst offense UW has had in a decade and we really haven't seen any sign they are improving substantially. Even last week they tore up that first quarter and then kind of went meh the rest of the way. And the special teams keep making mistake after mistake.

It's not that I believe the cougs are so much better than they have been the last few years. I'm just not sure what this team is right now.
