Why?

They don't deserve it.

The Cavs have already had 3 #1 overall picks in the last 8 years.

The fact that they are already back in the running for another without a major, intentional tank is absolutely mind boggling.

How is it mind boggling? Before Lebron left everyone knew he had little around him. Add in the fact Love is hurt. Sexton is getting better but all their veterans are role players other than TT and they have zero All Stars players on the court with Love hurt lol. Why do the Suns deserve another one if they are purposely tanking? The only reasons the Cavs are down there is bc one player left. Shows us why Lebron is the greatest of all-time

I don't know fuck all about basketball, but I think he could be saying that if your team has gotten 3 of the last eight #1 picks and you're still in the running for the worst team in the league, you've done something very, very wrong, regardless of where Lee Brown James is playing.

one guy was a bust, one guy demanded a trade and they traded anther guy for a multi time all star

at least they ended up going to 4 finals and winning one

your Wiz are even less deserving- a #1 overall pick, a #3 overall pic, and a #3 overall pick and they are a joke thats won nothing and are a dysfunctional embarrassment

at least the Cavs have some banners to show for it- while the Wiz have nothing but a steaming pile of dog shit

LOL.

You do this every now and then like you think it is some type of shot at me. There is nothing you can say about the Wizards that is going to hurt my feelings because I am not a delusional homer. I know they suck.

That said, any team that hits 3 #1 overall picks and manages to be back in contention for a 4th before any of those players hit RFA has done something wrong.

This isn't a comparison against the Wizards. I believe the Wizards in the conversation for most poorly run franchise in the NBA over the last 40 years.

That doesn't have anything to do with the statement of fact that Cleveland's assets have not been managed all that well. They won a championship because a player who is in the GOAT conversation returned via free agency and dragged them there.

Plus they got some injury and suspension luck in that Finals. Just like the Ws did the year before. But it still counts and I'm happy LeBron got one in Cleveland.

And also, the Wizards won't be in the running for the number 1 pick this year. So your point is moot.

But I wish they would blow it all up and try to get there.

i dont care if it hurts your feelings, doesnt hurt your feelings or if you dance a jig

its just the truth. The Wiz are one of the biggest loser/most dysfunctional franchises in the NBA, if not all of North American Professional Sports---- i dont care if you agree with me, dont agree with me on that.

IF the Cavs were poorly managed then LeBron would have never returned. If they didnt have the assets to put together a team around LEBron he never comes back.

Sounds like you are just butt-hurt calling a team that got to 4 straight Finals and won one poorly managed--- especially when you see up up close and personal what a true dumpster fire of a franchise is on a day to day basis.

And aside from having two stints with arguably the greatest player of all time, the Cavs are right there with them. Maybe even worse.

You had 11 seasons with LeBron. For at least 6, perhaps as many as 7 or 8 of those seasons he was the best player on the planet. Yet, you managed just 1 title.

The joke is on you. Because even the lowly Wizards probably get more than 1 title with 11 years of LBJ.

This is fucking retarded analogy. So because they have LeBron to 11 years of two different stints means they should win a "set amount of titles" effortlessly??? As if a 20-year-old LeBron should be expected to lead a bunch of veteran misfits to a title...

Sorry, but unless you have colluding teams like Miami or GS, it don't quite work that way.

Point being - The Cavs have a title in this millennium and they earned it. And the Wizards don't.

Wait a minute. Cavs had a colluding team for 3 seasons or so. And basically STILL lucked out to win a 'ship. They wouldn't have won even 1 'ship if Green didn't get suspended for BS and Curry wasn't injured.

Lebron is lucky he isn't a 1-8 in the finals.

No he shouldn't.

But that is precisely my point.

Because for the vast majority of LeBron's tenure in Cleveland, it was him and a bunch of veteran misfits. Had Cleveland done things right, it is quite possible that he would have spent his entire career there (at least up til now) and have 3+ rings as a Cav.

But they screwed up. And he left. Twice.

The Wiz are just pretty much irrelevant in the grand scheme of the NBA. Really not worth talking too much about or debating besides discussing just how unsuccessful they have been. Its hard to be so bad in the NBA for so long.

I rememeber when LeBron was young and the Wiz had some semi-talented teams with Jamison/Butler/Arenas, etc. and how the CAvs just whooped their ass all the time....that was fun.

Lebron is old news anyways. Why is he even being hyped anymore. His "lead dog days" are over.

Dude, you talk about LeBron like he's the second coming of God or something. Newsflash, there is no such thing as a perfect basketball player. Michael Jordan was the closet, but as it stands there is no such thing...

The Cavs failed to win the title in 10 of LeBron's 11 seasons with the team. Last I checked, he was part of those failures. He's the rule, not the exception.

What numbskulls like yourself fail to comprehend as well as that moron Max whatever his name is on ESPN - is that LeBron was part of the Cavs organization before Dan Gilbert was. In other words, Gilbert inherited a lot of the shit he was given. Back in the day, for instance they signed Damon Jones to a four-year contract. And even though he sucked - He was LeBron's friend, so there was that.

BTW I hope you like my new avatar. She's my cover girl and she knows she's my cover girl, but ultimately I'm using it just to infuriate you...

Well Dan Gilbert is the owner and he fired one of the best GM’s bc of chump change. So yeah the franchise probably doesnt deserve it but I want them to get #1 pick :laugh3: and so does Wiggy

I mean all I can say is if they were tanking purposely they wouldnt have signed Love, they would have traded him for picks. They are just stuck with bas contracts, that can be credited to bad moves but it’s what Lebron wanted. He wanted veterans and now they are trying to trade them, so from that POV there is nothing they can do. Now if this is just if they deserve it, then they probably dont bc of the luck they’ve had in the past with #1 picks. The new draft format definitely changes some things
