There is some serious suck going on at the bottom of the Eastern conference right now. The second worst team in the West is 7-10 (T-Wolves), which would be tied for 9th in the East.

i wonder if Hayward is really just not as good as we thought, and then coupled with the injury if he is just not that great. The Jazz run a great system and it wouldnt surprise me if his numbers took a hit in Boston---- combine that with thei njury and maybe something is going on.

I think Hayward is a great player and i would have given him the max too. Maybe it will just take time for him to get comfortable and fully healthy. He is definitely key for you guys though.

You can't ask if Hayward was a good as we thought then in the same comment say he's a great player. But back to everything else. He was an All Star caliber player before the gruesome injury. I think his injury is still in his head (and I can't blame him).

From the C's games I've seen on the tube (and the one I was at) I think he's a bit hesitant on the court. Not sure he'll ever return to the player he was before the injury but I still think he can be an important piece of the puzzle for the C's. Maybe he's not in true game shape yet? Not really sure about anything, but I wish I knew the answers.

One thing for sure. I'm a little disappointed in how the team has played so far. I was expecting a better start.

By unintelligent people, sure.

Go rent a pair of sarcasm goggles from the SportsHoopla gift shop because you badly need them. It seems you'll never learn that I'm often sarcastic about Yer Boyz. And yet it's you that most often gets bent outta shape.

Why don't other Lakers fans in the NBA threads like Trojanfan, CL67 or DJ fly off the handle & piss themselves w/ anger like you always do? Oh wait I know that answer, they can take a joke. Which you obviously can't.

That's fair. I was more referencing Kuzma as outplaying his draft position where in this case would be considered a hit. But in terms of being an ideal fit in a Big 3 scenario as one of the core players (ala a Bosh/Love), it's definitely not something he's yet to play up to yet.

I think if you have James and another superstar.....Kuzma would be fine as the 4th guy, maybe even #3.

As currently constructed as the #2 on this team (and yes he's their 2nd best player)? No.....that's not good.

That's the best you have? Pretty lame. Do you realize you get upset about once a week by taking a sarcastic Lakers comment of mine seriously? Going outta your way crying isn't gonna get me stop saying sarcastic things about the team you love & adore.

"several" as in 4 or 5 or several as in 2 or 3?

If they have 2 down years and get like Zion Williamson or Barrett or Reddish, and another lotto talent the next year to add to Sexton and Love and Osman- it will at least be a fun team to watch again. Not only that- but maybe they deal Love or take some bad salary and get some chances at mid/late first rounders and hit on one or two.

Id say this year and next year of being REALLY bad, and after that it will start to trend up upwards and at least be fun with some hope.

and i dont think the Suns should give up anything significant for hill- but at least its a guy that could stabilize the position on a team that has been awful forever- and if the Cavs take some bad salary back the other way for hills expiring deal maybe they squeeze something out.
All in vain
Won't be good for decades.

Just because he is healthy enough to play that doesn't mean he's fully recovered. Severe injuries like that will take a while, even if the player is back on the court. A lot of mouths to feed on that team; difficult to get that same level of production.

I was wondering the same thing the other day....

Are the Nuggets the team that started 9-1 or the team that has gone 1-6?

Or somewhere in between?

Career 17ppg player and he's just a role player....in his 2nd season.....

So he can't get better......typical Wiggy.

By any chance, did you happen to notice how oxymoronic this statement is?

Career scoring, 2nd year.

Are you serious?

I'm guessing they are still 5-9 type team.

My point was young players usually get better, not worse over time.
