well, i watched most of that game and Ben literally threw 5 or 6 Int's but some of them were called back because the Jaguars are stupid and undisciplined .... he DID play like crap for the most part but was able to pull some big plays out of his ass in the 4th quarter to salvage the game.

if he pulls that crap against the pats, they will get slaughtered because the Pats aren't going to give those INT's back ....

Pats aren't good enough defensively to force those INTs though (or slow the running game as much as the Jags did).

yeah, but steelers fans tend to be dumb fucking morons, so there's that.

missed the playoffs like twice in the past 1,000 years and complain about the slightest bump in the road. pretended like they didn't have a hockey team until they got awarded the #1 pick for a decade enabling them to get a championship caliber team,so they didn't have to move out of that shithole town. don't get me started on when the pirates made the playoffs that one year and the "fans" acted like they knew shit all about baseball and the pirates.

Another scorned Philly fan....turning a Steeler thread into a I hate Pittsburgh fans. Go play in traffic kid.

I was noticing what an amazing 7-playoff berth run the Phillies had. Granted, it was spread way-the-fuck-out, but between 1980 and 2009, the Phillies made the playoffs seven times, and of those seven, they went to the World Series five times and won it twice.

That's pretty remarkable.
The 5 WS appearances in 29 years isn't bad, but it kind of stings when you only won it twice. I don't think either 5 pennants nor 2 WS championships is pretty remarkable at all.

Unless what you're getting at (and it probably is now that I read your post again) is that they only made the playoffs 7 times, and went to the WS in 5 of those 7 appearances. That's much more interesting.

Eh, obviously you did not watch the game. I'm sure the Patriots secondary can catch telegraphed passes right in their stomachs just as easily as the Jaguars secondary can

If you weren't from Philadelphia, he was the black Adam Dunn.
LOL!
However you want to paint it, but when I saw a Phillies fan talking shit about a the Pirates' fan base being stupid and obnoxious after some success, I had to laugh.

Of the fans of irrelevant teams that have won a championship, the White Sox fans are the only ones that came close to how stupid and obnoxious Phillies fans were.
"Irrelevant"? Man, I agree our fanbase is like the Tard Army of Tard Armies, but our franchise is not irrelevant. Longest single-name, single-city franchise in all of North American sports, one of the oldest franchises in MLB, various Hall of Famers, various players that are considered to be among or around the top ~100 baseball players of all time (Schmidt, Grover Cleveland Alexander, Thome, Dick Allen, Ferguson Jenkins, Steve Carlton, Chase Utley, Roy Halladay), 2 chips, and anytime anyone ever makes a movie or writes a book about Jackie Robinson, our manager at the time is always depicted as a racist, hothead piece of shit.

I'd say Harry S. Truman sounds pretty irrelevant at the current moment, but that's just me.

Also, you never answered if it's called "A Band reference" or "A The Band reference," and I am genuinely curious. To refresh your memory, I said that you would say it's "A Beatles reference" over "A The Beatles reference."

Cool story, bro.

Prior to 2007, they had one playoff berth in nearly a quarter century. That's not quite pre-'14 Royals irrelevance, but it's not far off.

I used to fucking LOVE that bit back on FanNation. Phillies fans would come absolutely unglued, then I'd show them how similar the two players' numbers were, and they'd come absolutely unhinged.

Good times.

I didn't forget; I was just ignoring you because I don't know the answer.

My opinion, I think it should be "a The Band reference" because the definite article is such an important part of the band's name. If you say, "a Beatles reference," everyone knows what you're talking about. With "a Band reference," you could get into some who's on first nonsense.

Pats don't have the ability to pressure the QB to force those bad decisions compared to the Jags. I was speaking to the play in whole, not just the end result (and that INT by Ramsey was far from a gimmie).

Instead of being down 16...more like 36. At the same time I agree with tone that NE's DEF is a notch below norm overall, especially rushing the passer...still a decent coverage team, but nobody can cover for 5 and 6 secs.

Ben will have to play a much cleaner game to win even this week much less week 15, but I expect he will.

Yep, we wouldn't expect Ben to have too many games like that ... That was not his norm

Ratings... @Psych-Ward painted that picture perfectly. Hate listening to the radio because the people that call in seem incredibly dumb. Like their soul purpose in life is to crawl out of the rock that they've been hiding under all their lives just to call into a radio station that has maybe 100 listeners on a good day just to make dumbass assumptions.

Yes Ben had an ugly game. But who gives a shit. Nobody will remember how he played in this game in January. Unless God-forbid they have to play the damn Jags again.
