We also agree on November 16!!!

I changed the games not because of you or because we agreed, but I am thinking they’re going to be some surprises tonight. So I think I’ll get at least one of those three correctly and the rest of them (outside of those three) correct as well. Hopefully two or three.

Is it a Magic Day if we both agree on all the games, and we get them all correct?

Is it the reverse Magic Day if we agree on all of the games, and we get them all wrong?

I wonder if either of these will occur this season.

It would be a truly Magical Day if we disagreed on all games and were both incorrect on all games.

It would challenge all my understandings of how sports games work. Perhaps, I would feel that we were guessing on games of soccer.

No, magic doesn't need to be involved. It is possible we could each have distinct guesses, and still be wrong on the game's outcome.

It would be funny though, for us to both be wrong. We wouldn't be the only ones wrong, for that game, though.

I don’t think I was clear with my joke. I was saying that both of us disagree with each other and for both of us to be incorrect with the results. That’s impossible unless there’s a tie.

Either that, or you got my joke but didn’t make any mention to it.

Wait hold on, you did. Canceling the game would potentially make none of us correct. And since that was a preseason game, they would never make it up anywhere. Take potentially schedule them to play each other the next preseason but that wouldn’t be an additional game it would just be within the rotation.

November 18, 2018:

234. Minnesota Timberwolves over Memphis Grizzlies
235. Los Angeles Lakers over Miami Heat
236. Orlando Magic over New York Knicks

238. Golden State Warriors over San Antonio Spurs

I may make some changes tonight or tomorrow morning before the games start.

Saturday, November 17, 2018:

L.A. Clippers over Brooklyn
Philadelphia over Charlotte
Indiana over Atlanta
L.A. Lakers over Orlando
Denver over New Orleans (toss-up)
Utah over Boston (because they're better)
Toronto over Chicago
Houston over Sacramento
Golden State over Dallas
Oklahoma City over Dallas

Poor Dallas. They’re going to be beat by Golden State and Oklahoma City on the same night. Durant’s current and former team. That’s what you get for beating the Jazz by 50.

(Yes, I know you meant the Thunder were going to beat the Suns).

Yup, that's what I was pointing out. If the game was cancelled, we'd both be wrong. As the seldom used prediction of "neither team will win, the game will be cancelled" wasn't used.

Oops.

Good post, tying my typo in to both Durant, and the Jazz.

Correction: Oklahoma City over Phoenix.

Also, that's the difference between cancelled and postponed.

Cancelled means that the game will not be made up.

Postponed means the game will be rescheduled (or played at a later time that day).

The slippery court game was cancelled.

You also can't "postpone" something until next season. It can only be postponed and rescheduled within the time frame of the current season.

Dang it! I was going to pick the Mavericks over the Warriors, but then I remembered @nuraman00 telling me all teams who win by 50 lose the next game. I edited it out. Argh! Oh well.

No, you mis-understood. They lose the next game between the same teams, when they play again.

I wasn't clear in my post. I re-read it.

It's when those same teams play each other again, the team that won by 50, almost always loses the next time.

I don't know the overall numbers as to how many times it's happened.

I originally chose the Celtics over the Hornets, but I think Kemba will win this one. And I want us to agree on all games for once.

I also think the Kings May win and the Jazz may lose, but I can’t predict both teams to win.

Maybe Charlotte's keys are having Michael Jordan say that resigning Kemba is a priority. That's got to make him feel good, and should give him even more confidence.
