Ugly win

Trubisky looked great when he wasn't throwing picks. But I think he turned the corner. He looks like a legit NFL QB to me now. No longer concerned with his play.

Collinsworth said something that was right on. This defense will now be tested with offense throwing no huddle at it.

Nothing more positive that hasn't already been said can be said here of this defense.

It was a tough game against a tough opponent. Granted, we looked pretty bad in the 2nd half, but overall, it was a well earned win.

He was right on when he said our corners have been ballers when it comes to defending the deep ball, by and large.

Combine that with the hurry-up that slows down our pass rush and you get all those dinks and dunks that go for 6-8 yards all the way down the field. When the offense is doing that, i think we need to be a little more aggressive in bringing Amos up to flatten the coverage out a bit. We got to show some different looks there.

Of course that makes for the assumption that opposing offenses are steadily marching dowfield. So 1st and 10 and you get stuffed for no gain or throw an incomplete pass, the chances of going no huddle immediately diminish. Make it 3rd and long and the chances of going no huddle have all but disappeared. Gotta keep things in perspective.
