I wouldn't be surprised if they decided to put the title on Bryan as a reaction to Becky Lynch getting hurt, if they wanted a big match to main event to garner interest (and AJ vs Brock is something we already saw last week).

Regardless, I don't know if the DB heel turn will be effective....he's too beloved imo that there will always be many cheering him and doing the YES chants. If they were to make him a tweener and loose cannon type however (as in he doesn't know if he'll have a fair match or cheat etc), maybe that could add an intriguing element to his character.

I said this in the SD thread. IF I were creative. I would make him half Ciampia ( title talks to him) and half Miz( when Miz was taking out guys and saying how dangerous he is)

This reaction at the beginning was priceless.

If you watch the whole video. He makes a good point at the last minute about Nia

Are we sure that Bryan is 100% heel though? Yeah he was a little cheap against AJ but he could say based on his history he knows people in upper management don’t like him and he doesn’t get opportunities often so he saw chance and he took it. The attacking AJ was less of a heel turn and more of a problem with AJ himself.

According to dirt sheets, Bryan has been asking for a heel run for a while now, and it was just approved last week.

Kicking someone in the face repeatedly after cheating to take their title is definitely a heel move in every booking manual I've seen.

Normally yes but if they wanted too Bryan can claim it was more a stance against AJ than him going full blown heel. Depends on if SD is ok with having 5 top heels(Bryan, Orton, Miz, Joe, and Shinsuke) vs 3 top faces(AJ, Rey, Hardy).

It would be a stretch not that WWE doesn't do that but the crowd and announcers sure took it as a heel turn. If WWE wants to make sure it gets over they could have DB do what you're suggesting then do something else dastardly that would make it clear he was blowing smoke about not being a heel.

Randy could flip as well. The other 4 could never be fliped now though because they are in to deep as a heel.

I think Orton goes face, of all the heels his going face makes the most sense.

Other than the Rollins/Nakamura match, show has been piss poor.

Brock/DB was great. I truly thought DB was gonna win a couple of times and thats hard to make me do with a Brock opponent.

But other than that it was a burial of SD.

Couldn't agree more. Other than the tag team survivor series match on the pre-show, Smackdown had a poor showing.

They could have at least given SD the IC/US title match by way of Dean interferring and the Womens 5on5 match.

I could've seen that. With what happened tonight, I don't see what the point was to have DB win the belt on Tuesday. If the main event wasn't going to determine brand supremacy, you could've still had AJ in the main event and Bryan in the Smackdown Survivor Series match and had him beat a battered and bruised AJ on this Tuesday for the belt instead to start his heel turn.

I think the main two reasons were they wanted Bryan to win the belt in Saudi Arabia but he didn’t go and they didn’t want AJ to lose to Brock at Survivor Series 2 years in a row.
