Kubiak to Return to Coaching???

Bleacher Report is saying that Kubiak might return to coaching as an OC and the Broncos would have the inside track to hire him. If we bring in John Harbaugh it might be a good combination. I wonder who the DC would be if this is the route.

Because it is fun as a fan to speculate,second guess, and look forward, I did a little looking at the coaching staffs of Baltimore and Denver to see if John Harbaugh is hired the coaching staff would likely be a combination of the two staffs. Below are what the 2 staffs look like now.

Living in the past is better then the future Broncos. I'd be disappointed in this route. I love Kubes just want to move forward not backwards. OC is better then HC but, still. Sure setting up to be Harbaugh route for sure we'll see.

I don't know that Mike Shanahan has a lot of interest in returning to coaching at this point. He is 66 after all, and money really shouldn't be anything he needs.

I love Kubes, but I would hate a deal where JE hires his OC - then gets the Broncos a HC. That is part of the problem since Kubes left as HC.

Any chance Kubes joins the current staff if they get a 3rd year? Maybe he comes in as Offensive Coordinator/Assistant Head Coach? I think Musgrave seems to have a personality that would accept spitting the responsibilities with Kubes.

If we change head coaches I could see Elway hiring Kubes as the offensive coordinator and then the head coach.

Really depends on who the next HC is. If his plan is for Harbaugh, they could talk who he would bring in on the coaching staff, and if it's Kubes I could see Elway pulling the trigger.

It seems to me that he let VJ make a few more coaching changes this year, and with someone like Harbaugh would likely keep his hands off. Lets not forget that he let ol' Tubby McHeartIssue pick his own coaches.
