On my second trip to Zion National Park I was fortunate to see small groups of deer and big horn sheep while traveling and photographing the park. This would be a hunter's paradise. :D A vacation trip here is recommended.

Temple of Sinawava. Mostly deer are seen along the main park sites.

Mt. Carmel Hgwy leading to Zion east gate entrance and Utah route 9.

Small groups of sheep visible in many locations along this highway. The first rams I've ever seen. These were close at less than 20 yards.

All are healthy looking sheep.

These animals are used to cars and people pulling over to take pictures.

The largest ram about 1/4 mile away.

Angels Landing. Many hike the 1,400 feet to the top.

Nice pictures - what time of the year did you go? Did you go when you didn't have to use the tram? I'd like to go, but I want to be free to use my car everywhere

I went last October in beautiful weather. I originally hated the small buses but unless you have a handicap sticker or it’s offseason, you can’t drive to most of the sites. It would be too congested any way. I tried talking a park ranger into giving me a pass saying I suffer from migraine headaches in crowded places but he wouldn’t buy it. Lol.

It turns out that the buses run every 10 minutes or so so they’re no hindrance, though they can be crowded. You get to see the best sites and can follow hiking trails if you want.

I would recommend spending some time there. Do the day hikes. Angel's Landing is fucking awesome. Do it.

I hate the uphill hikes, being an old geezer. Maybe next time.

It has some crazy steep parts, for sure.

It's more that it's just scary af tho, to be honest. Crazy clinging en sech. Totally rad tho. I did it in my youth. Don't know if I'd repeat that now.

It is a neat place to hike tho.

Look at this beautiful, luxurious Zion propane-powered shuttle bus interior! It was a dreary day so I went into B/W mode.

Yeah, I love the big horns - I have pictures of them Yellowstone National Park, Pikes Peak, Co as well as the Badlands in South Dakota.
