TT:
What the fuck did you just fucking say about me you little longhorn? I’ll have you know I graduated top of my class at Texas Tech University and I have over 300 confirmed pizza deliveries. I am trained in tortilla warfare and I am the top battery thrower in the entire Texas Tech student section. You are nothing to me but just another target. I will give you a bruise on the back of your head the likes of which has never been seen before on this Earth, mark my fucking words. You think you can get away with saying I prefer In-and-Out over Whataburger, think again fucker. As we speak I am contacting my secret network of Texas Tech students across mostly western Texas and some parts of Dallas and Houston, and your IP is being traced right now so you better prepare for the storm, maggot. The storm that wipes out the pathetic little thing you call a lead. You’re fucking dead, kid. I can be anywhere, anytime, and no matter how hard you try I will drink all of your alcohol. Not only am I extensively trained in tortilla based combat, but I have access to the entire arsenal of the Texas Tech student section and I will use it to its full extent to send your miserable ass to Oklahoma, you little shit. If only you could have known what unholy retribution your little “clever” comment was about to bring down upon you, maybe you would have held your fucking tongue. But you couldn’t, you didn’t, and now you’re paying the price, you goddamn idiot. Our tortillas will block out the sun. You’re fucking dead kiddo.

What was the general feel around EL before the game? Was this a surprise?
I was expecting to lose. Lewerke has been hot garbage all season. According to a coworker, the student section booed Lewerke starting the game and were chanting “Rocky” until he got into the game and booed again once Lewerke went back in.

I think the game would have been better had Lombardi started. We had half way decent starting field position with the 4 yard punt and Lewerke didn’t do anything with it. The entire second half your kicker pinned us on the goal line and with less than no running game, and Urban knew it, very few QBs can succeed.

Better news, if we lose to Nebraska, the alcohol poisoning will kill me before I get a chance to meltdown.

Yeah that Lombardi kid seems like he could be the spark their offense needs.

Also - was the safety actual intentional?

My guess, yes the safety was intentional. The kicker made next to no effort to stop that ball. Didn’t even reach his hand over his head.

I was pretty drunk by that point, but it did seem like a pretty poor effort. Chrisman had a hell of a game. I was also surprised at Weber's day. He played better than I thought he would.

So at 8-4 (assuming they win out), what bowl are you hoping for?

This thread pisses me off.

We end Kentucky's season last week in blowout fashion in Lexington, but they don't make the list last week, but they do this week because they let UGA beat them twice.

And somehow Auburn makes the list despite being heavy underdogs on the road when the score doesn't tell you just how one sided that game actually was?

This is exactly why they call it a "Safety" in the first place. Give up two points, not 6, and get the chance to kick it without any threat of blocking.

I think some of our younger audience members might not be aware

We are going to be way down on the totem poll. Michigan, Ohio State, Northwestern, Penn State, and probably Wisconsin will all be selected above us. At that point it doesn’t really matter, it’s going to be a way too early bowl game where no one pays attention because they are at work.

People work around the holidays? Yuck.

Not sure about Wisconsin being selected over you. Even with your loss this week you're still receiving votes while they're basically off the map. I'm also not 100% sure they win at Purdue. Unreal what a difference a year made for them.

They're currently projected for the Outback. It would have been great if South Carolina could have held on against Florida last weekend, because they would have probably gotten another Outback bid. Would love to see Dantonio against his alma mater

Yeah it does. I don't think 7-5 will get it done, and that would actually be a decent matchup. If MSU is in the Outback, my guess is against Florida or A&M.

Yeah, some of us dead beats don’t get union hours.

Wisconsin has a bigger draw of a fan base that travel better and bowls will take them over us if they can. Right now they have 4 losses, somehow, so even if they get one more loss, they can still be picked over us.

I thought that Wisconsin should have walked into Indianapolis again undefeated with little to no problem with what they were returning, but honestly, they just sucked. That division didn’t get any better. I was way off about Michigan and Wisconsin/Penn State in opposite ways.

CBS currently has:

Michigan State in the Outback (against Miss State)
Penn State in the Citrus (Kentucky)
Wisconsin Taxslayer (Texas A&M)
Northwestern Holiday (Washington)
Iowa in the Redbox bowl (in Santa Clara, vs Oregon)
Purdue Pinstripe Bowl (Yankee stadium, vs Syracuse)

Ohio State Rose vs Wazzu

Michigan in the playoffs.

All subject to change, obviously

Is that a union thing? I assumed most people were bums like me that hoard vacation time for the end of December. I think my last working day this year is December 20th, which I think is before any of the B1G Bowls would be on.

This is about what I thought Penn State would do, honestly. Losing all that upper-classmen talent sorta brought McSorely back to earth like I thought it would. Kudos for michigan for seemingly putting it together, but 2016 michigan was also 9-1 with a really good defense before dropping 2 of their last 3, so who knows if Harbaugh will Harbaugh again. Agree 100% on Wisconsin though. This has been shocking. They've got to upgrade at QB in the worst way for next year. Don't the Badger homers on here keep saying they have some stud QB waiting in the wings?
