That’s a game they should have won. I’m more upset about that game than looking at the silver lining.

Too many mistakes and missed opportunities. They change a few of those and the outcome could have very well been different.

Botched onside kick. Blocked punt. False start inside the 10 yard line. Boneheaded backwards pass/turnover in the red zone. Dropped passes.

Good teams don’t do that.

During the Pelini years the most frustrating thing for me (other than his meltdowns) was the fact that while we were coming into the meat of our schedule in November I knew that our opponents were improving while we had plateaued if not fallen off because of injuries and fatigue.
To see a team that is improving week by week and at this point in the season to see exponential improvement every week could very well replace the sex life I enjoyed when my marriage was young.

At 2 and 7 I am more excited than I ever was with a Riley team or a Pelini post- Suh, Crick, Dennard... team

Yes several mistakes were made, but they competed. They fought.

Try to think back to the last time we actually played an elite status team on the road down to the wire.

Had to have been back in the Solich days. Texas in 2009 was a neutral setting.

We’ve made huge strides.
