Dallas acquired WR Amari Cooper for their 1st rounder. Cooper is a mystery; loads of talent but he's regressed badly the past 2 seasons. He was built up as the Raiders centerpiece for this season and has not lived up to the hype.

The Cooper deal was a huge gamble for the Boys. They surrendered their 1st rounder for a WR who is inconsistent at this point. This had to be a Jerrah panic move. Now they have to hit on the late rounds or this may possibly bite them in the ass.

Eagles offered a 2nd rounder for cooper. dallas saved them.

If we were playing better I would be ok with giving up a lot to gain a game changer but I don't think there is a player they can get at this point that will drastically alter what were seeing on the field. And I mean realistically, not Kahlil Mack or something. I think a sneaky trade for a safety would be best. Who? I have no idea. Someone for a 5th or less. Maybe a vet on a bad team.

No way we trade for Devante Parker IMO. Would't help that much immediately and I think he is on last year of rookie contract so then pay him? Peterson would be awesome but I don't think it makes sense long term. David Johnson would be awesome too but I don't think they value RB enough to give up a high pick to get him. Sanders would be a great trade and would compliment the offense perfectly but he is KILLING this year. Could be a high price to get him and I'd question the help he would provide the offense. The oline play is what is killing the offense IMO. Getting better play there will help more than anything.

I was going to say there is report Patrick Peterson wants out. Go get him. But I found the fly in the ointment....~37M due to him the next three years.

Jerry got taken to the cleaners on this one. He is a special kind of stupid.

In any case did Jerry see an opening leading to a division crown after watching the Eagles fold like tissue in a rain storm???

The thing here is that if the Cards do trade him, many teams will be bidding for him. I don't want to surrender a 1st for PP. Somebody (looking at the Skids) will pony up a 1st rounder plus to bring him in. I am at the point of just playing it out and keeping our picks. Douglas will draft solid players where we need to fill. I trust him as he has done well drafting the past few years from here and the Ravens.

I believe there is a baseline that Howie will not cross for any player in a trade; it seems that a 2nd is the highest he will go, anything more than that he will not get into a bidding war for anyone

A 1st for Cooper? That's a bit rich. Good trade for Gruden

Eagles have reportedly had trade discussions with the Broncos.

I wish we could land Sanders or Thomas, and Roby. Do it, Howie!

Read this too. I’ll even take Harris, Jr if they can get him. The Broncos chatter really popped up since yesterday. Lots of possible smoke there.

Apparently the Dolphins are willing to let Parker go for a 3rd. No thanks.

PP from the Cards might possibly happen for some team, but I also do not see it being us. The baseline sure does feel like a 2nd from us (and might have been a 3rd if we didn’t have two 2nds next year).

This team is not competing for the bowl this year. The team is suffering on a myriad of fronts. Bad play-calling, poor o-line play, no depth at dt. Injuries to rbs, wrs and cbs/sfty. They might make the playoffs. Trades for significant veterans with large price tags are not rational. Those kind of trades are bandaids, expensive bandaids which won't address the long-term needs because they'll handicap the team next year.
They need to hang onto draft picks to get cheap talent because they'll be paying wentz.

I do like the rumors and the talk and the hypotheticals of trade. And I do like when this team makes a move. That said...I am probably most content at this point (or least disgruntled maybe) if they just stay pat. Hate to feel like its rolling up the tent on this year....but the points are well made....too many holes to fill, at least as of this moment.

That means that the Card will not Peterson unless it is more than one 1st rounder.

Yeah, if Eli friggin Apple gets you a 1st then PP would require at least a 1st and 3rd.

At this point I’m just fine with folding. If Howie is sitting at this poker table watching the intial antes i wouldn’t blame him for folding his hand. Take it forward.

I liked the cowboys being dumb and needy.....but a god damn first for Eli Apple...Jesus!
