Melvin Gordon (hamstring) has been ruled out for Week 7 against the Titans.

Gordon was downgraded to questionable Saturday after his hamstring injury was more serious than initially thought. His status was tipped when Detrez Newsome was promoted from the practice squad. Hamstring injuries can linger, but Gordon has a bye next week to get healthy. Austin Ekeler will start for Gordon and is a plug-and-play RB2, with Justin Jackson backing him up.

Rob Gronkowski (back, ankle) is out for Week 7 against the Bears.

Gronk didn't make the trip to Chicago after having his back lock up on him during Friday's practice. The Patriots are optimistic he'll be back for next week's Monday night showdown in Buffalo. With Jacob Hollister (hamstring) also sidelined, Dwayne Allen should play close to an every-down role at tight end. Gronkowski's absence will open up targets for Josh Gordon, Julian Edelman and James White, among others.

NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reports Sony Michel's knee injury is "not considered serious," though it's unclear how long he might be sidelined.

Michel's MRI brought back good news, but no one seems to know just how good. It still appears likely that Michel will miss next Monday's game against the Bills. We might not get our first formal update from the Patriots until Thursday, when they are required to issue their first Week 8 injury report. Fantasy owners should plan on being without Michel for at least game. Considering his history of knee woes, it could still be longer.

Some of his moves are head scratchers, but this was a big win for Gruden. Getting a first for a WR with bad hands. He's now has 3 first round picks next year and 79 million in cap space. Setting himself up for a fast rebuild, if he hits with his draft picks.

Of course you know my view...
If the idea behind a draft pick is to get a player you can build your team around, he's just unloaded 2 and now he has to hope he can successfully draft their replacements.
