Yeah we suck, no question about it. The offense was an absolute embarrassment but at least we have a get right game against your dog shit team next.
Nevada does suck ass this year again lol.

It's sad, but these 2-3 letdown games a year are just par for the course for this staff. 15 point favorites, facing a backup QB and RB in front of a soldout crowd and outside of a late score, completely dominated BSU from start to finish. Ridiculous. Rypien looked like he had never thrown a football in his life before. Some of his passes weren't within 10 yards of a receiver.

We are mediocre in literally the most frustrating way possible. Every fucking year we have like 2-3 games where our teams peaks and looks unstoppable...but of course that's never our real team, it's just a tease that frustrates us even more when we have our 2-3 games where our coaching staff just seems unprepared for everything.

We are in the most frustrating era in Boise State football, folks will say we should just accept the 2-3 losses each year and as always we enter the season thinking that....then we have random games where we play so well and are forced to think "where has this been the rest of the season and why doesn't this happen every week?"

So is this team just not very good, or what? Another ho-hum effort.

No offense to Pack fans here, but that game shouldn't have been close - Vegas had the line at 14 (and that came down from 17 initially). Yet if you watch that game, those looked like 2 evenly matched teams. Gangi was running around on one leg and was still able to move the ball effectively. On offense for BSU, it was more of the same putrid O-line play, with some really bad Rypien throws mixed in. Thank goodness Tyler Horton made that play, or who knows how that game ends.

I just don't get how this team went from looking so strong against UConn and Troy to this. In 3 of the last 4 weeks, the team has looked awful, with Wyoming being the only exception. I think they need to stick with the replacements at RG and RT. They weren't All-Americans or anything, but it was a huge upgrade over Quevedo and Preciado.

Apparently we will absolutely will never be a consistent team all year with our staff. It seems like so many years we'll have our peaks and then have a period of time where we simply look terrible at the game of football.

Injuries haven't helped but we still should be so much better than we are right now, it's amazing how the offense and defense have regressed as the year goes on.

LOL if you can't get through our offensive line you are so screwed

Problem is anyone with a top 100 defense can get through our offensive line

I think Mattison would do well if he had any sort of blocking, oline is trash

I agree. Mattison is a tough runner and a great athlete. He’s not the problem. He’s also a high character guy and a solid leader.

I don't know who we hired when Petersen raided us for Huff, but our oline coach needs to be canned

they actually got worse this year compared to last year, and a big part of it seems to be a failing blocking scheme

Brad Bedell. Yeah he stinks. He needs to go.

It's time for the Special Teams coach to go too. Kent Riddle. He sucks. He can follow Bedell out the door.

GTFO!

Agreed, we briefly were ok on special teams last year thanks to Avery Williams. For the most part Riddle needs to go, our punting was such a debacle in the Oklahoma State game...we really should have fired him after that game

What you mean basically lining the punter up directly under center like you would a quarterback taking a direct snap? Both Skillin and Velazquez were lined up like three yards deep against an all out bull rush. It doesn’t get any dumber than that.

Not only that but taking longer to kick the dadburn ball than it takes for a QB to read the field and throw :L

Defense was atrocious but Rypien was absolutely nails. My favorite attribute is his ability to stand tall in the pocket and deliver strikes as he's about to take a big hit which was again evidenced by his 35 yard TD to CT Thomas on 4th and 10 with 5 seconds left in the half. That play was huge. We needed it desperately. He got absolutely jackhammered on that throw and needed six stitches in his chin.

Mattison is a talented runner, tough and downhill. He ran with a purpose. Stand up brother too. Love that kid.

Rypien is incredible. He and the receiving group is single-handedly holding this season together.

What in the world is wrong with the defense? They've had a couple good games this year, but it's been a bad stretch going back to Oklahoma State now. Between that and the inconsistent run game, it's basically turned into "Rypien has to be near perfect to beat mediocre MW teams". Not a great spot to be in for this program.
