With everyone getting a chubby for Chubb, So I take it nobody is even remotely worried about the Browns offense.
or the fact that in the preseason chubb was horrid at hitting hte hole, and was missing his reads..........a few long rungs changes those opinions

If you take away the Raiders game he still has 13 carries for 68 yards, so slightly more then 5 yards a carry. So I think he has proven that he can run against NFL caliber defenses. To me the main questions is how much of a beating can his body take?
thats a very small sample size, thats like saying austin ekeler can carry the load.....

They have Duke too. He is a very shifty runner and good 3rd down back. Chubb will get most of the workload but it’s not like he is by himself. With his skillset he should be fine. I am fine with getting a 5th rounder for Hyde but why even sign him? Maybe they have seen a lot of improvement since the start if the season from Chubb

Seems like this would hurt Cleveland in the future with FAs.

But football players are idiots, so prolly not.

Seems like a steal for JVille imo.

Me thinks Fournette is not near 100%. If they bring him back they'll likely want to lessen his load. Cleveland has two good RBs. Surprised they could only get a 5th:scratch: Jags at least today got the better of this deal.

Seems like we are not getting the whole story. Why would the Browns be trading him now and only for a 5th rounder after bringing in as a FA during the offseason.
A 5th-rounder is a good return for Hyde.

Would just cutting him be a good return?

5th round seems pointless as return on anyone who actually participates in games beyond special teams. The Lions make these moves with their parent team.

I mean usually players of Hyde’s caliber or even better get dealt for 6th or 7th rounders unless it’s a QB. I thought 5th was good value

:noidea: I'm not sure he's seeing enough carries averaging about 19 a game this season? He's only 1/2 a yard off his career average. He does has 5 TDs to go with that 3.4 YPC. His best year he only had 8 TDs.

Corey Grant isn't cutting it. So if they brought him in to pick up the short yardage and save Charles and Fournette some additional wear and tear sounds like a solid pick up to me? I miss having a big back even though NE has found a way to get it done this year without one.

I just think Cleveland was holding the cards. They didn't need to trade him. Jags needed a big back if Fournette isn't 100%. From a Cleveland stand point I would've been happy with a 4th. Jags should be happy only giving up a 5th?

lol, just wait, hes gonna start clicking with brady

Gordon said in his interview recently that he was able to finally go 100% in practice after nursing that hammy.

If that's true this could be a very dangerous combo. Brady already has trust in him. Now can Brady throw it far enough for Gordon to run under it as we head into the colder months? Time will tell.
