Interesting...something had to change then...back when I really cared about MLB...STL had Ozzie Smith, and some other black players, never heard anything of that nature from them even after their playing days, but I trust you have some recent insight.

i think this last go around with the Rams was not the city's fault personally but maybe the Cards and Blues just own that town .... ??

I think when you look at other smaller market teams like Nashville, Charlotte, Buffalo, etc....they've embraced the NFL and routinely put more people thru the turnstiles than STL has, but as you alluded to maybe there are some reasons that you don't see from afar...normally there are.

Cardinals fans, mostly, are a great fanbase. But there was a nasty little subset that said some nasty stuff to Jason Heyward when he signed with the Cubs and also Dexter Fowler when he struggled after signing with the Cards. Maybe it's more related to the Cubs, but unacceptable either way.
