I think the show will be little affected by the loss of Roseanne. When you have John Goodman and national treasure Laurie Metcalf in your cast that's always a good start. They often did the heavy lifting anyway.

The show was up 3% from last years season finale with Roseanne but we'll have to wait 2-3 weeks to see if this was because people were just interested in seeing what they'd do and if they'll stick around or not.

It’s going to flop. Rosanne made that show. Not just as the front woman, but also behind the scenes.

I never watched it for Roseanne. I liked the family. The show is still just as good.

They were hinting at that storyline going into the surgery before the behind-the-scenes fireworks that led to her getting fired.

I figured they would just have her die during the surgery, but they went a different storyline than that.
