We still get the recruits even when sucking. lol. Saw him the other day when St John Bosco beat Mater Dei. He's a good one.

Yes he is. He’s not totally locked into USC right now.

I could write a book on this but will try to simplify it....
O line has sucked for a couple seasons so O line coach (the coaches dads friend) needs to go period. Like now.
Offense play calling and execution had been pretty bad. Either replace the OC (Tee Martin) or get him veteran help.
Penalties are and have been an issue. The head coach never seems to think it's an issue with his We'll do better, we'll work on that. The game after the bye they had 13 penalties. That's inexcusable. You strive for perfection you get minimal penalties, you act like they're no big deal you get 13 and 18 penalty games.
This season USC might win 9-10 games and it will not be an accomplishment. Too much talent to play like this. Fucking waste of a group of starting WRs that will all be playing on Sundays.

Agree. Pete's teams were pretty heavily penalized, which used to drive me crazy.

But that's easier to overlook when your team is competing for NC's every year. When that's happening, then it's written off as "being an emotional/spirited team", or "bringing intensity one every play".

When you're not competing for NC's, it's just undisciplined.

I like the idea of getting Tee some veteran help. I think he has a lot of potential, but a veteran OC as an adviser would really help his learning curve, imo.

Michigan's greatest flaw is figuring out where are they going to do the national championship victory parade after the Wolverines win it all this season? It's likely to be brutally cold in January.

Perhaps if they just wait till after the Lion's win the Super Bowl in February, both the Lions and the Wolverines can do a parade together, and have a rally at Ford Field?

My favorite team (whoever is playing Nebraska) is awesome. They're undefeated this year.

I think Lincoln took a page from Bob's playbook and may already have someone in mind.

Interesting read:

An analytical evaluation of changing defensive coordinators
I had a flashback reading this.

"Riley has seen this kind of move work in the past as part of Texas Tech’s coaching staff under Mike Leach. In fact, OU’s new interim coordinator, Ruffin McNeill, was thrust into that same role with the Red Raiders in 2007. It worked so well for Tech that Leach elevated McNeill to full-time coordinator at the end of the year, with McNeill holding the job for two more seasons before East Carolina hired him as its head coach in 2010."

After all, Riley is a Leach guy. I'd completely forgotten about this.

Ruffin won’t be our DC going long term.

That ain't what I meant. I think Riley goes after someone more like a defensive version of himself. Not Ruffie.

I meant Riley had seen something like this first hand so he probably didn't mind the mid season change whatsoever.

Right. He brought Ruffin and Diaco in for this exact situation. I think he’s going after Golding at bama
