But watching the video, he looked down right when he kicked. He knew what he was doing. Machado plays shortstop now. Hopefully a Brewer pulls off a Chase Utley slide and costs Machado the big contract.

You pitch a hissy fit over being tagged too hard, you don't run out ground balls AND you intentionally try to injure other players, you don't deserve record money.

Machado pulled off an Utley slide Monday in game 3 on Arcia. That's why Brewers players were rightfully a bit irked over last night's antics. Machado is intentionally initiating unnecessary contact with opposing players in a manner that clearly exhibits a lack of respect for other players and the game.

Yes IMO that was a dirty play by Machado.

I have no idea what he intended to accomplish.

Making baseball fans collectively hate him? Because if he hadn't done that before, he's probably accomplished that in this series.

No, he thought that Aguilar had already pulled his foot off the base. He told me this personally.

He plays a bad position to be pulling that crap...he does it to the wrong guy and they might not slide at all on a DP, just tackle him like Terry Tate... or spikes up into the groin...or whatever other shit they decide they want to do to bring the pain

Does not matter what you guys think. Some super-rich owner will pay Machado close to $300mil to play for his team, so his team can make even more money (controversy can bring in cash too...., Mr. Jeter, Mr. Bond?). Machado's pissy attitude possible could make him more dough than if he just sat back and played quietly like Trout.
And don't forget....the fans of the team he ends up with will cheer him on, no matter what he does, as long as their team wins.
(Personally, I can see Yankee fans defending Machado as he uses a knife to cut the Achilles tendon of an opponent while playing with syringes of steroids falling out of his pocket.)

It's be worse if Machado spiked Aguilar.

Douche juice for sure, though.

Dirtiest player in MLB, easily. When you're the most unlikable player in a league that employs Roberto Osuna, that's saying a lot.

I call him a player who acts like a complete child when something doesn't go his way... Look at last night when there was no way he was going to get time called for him while in the batters box... Bitched to the umpire, easily could have been tossed.

In regards to this play he clearly knew what he was doing. Dirty? In some regards probably but I'm pretty sure every player or most of them) have done something very stupid like what he did

Yeah, that was not needed at all on Machado's part. He's way to talented to have to resort to that.

Yeah he is dirty and acts like a child.
There is a difference between getting pissed once in awhile and being a fucking asshole and having history.

He has a track record. He is a man-child.
