If you disagree you’re part of the problem.

At 1-4 you could make a case for a lot of coaches/players.

Let me hear your thoughts on Manuel.

I think the DEF was going to struggle maybe a little more than some others thought because of Poe leaving, but Senat has been okay for the most part, he's just not a penetrator you can rely on. That said, losing your back end QB in Allen, the enforcer in Neal, and your front 7 QB in Jones long term...that was just too much...imo it would be for any DEF.

Losing Grady last week was just another turn of the knife.

That soft zone crap doesn’t work no matter who you have. Every team we play knows when they can pick up 15 yards underneath or 30 in the huge gap between the corners and the safeties. And there’s a stubborn refusal to make adjustments. Not during the half nor during the week. It’s miserable. If there’s a talent deficit you gotta at least try to play a little chess.

If we’re gonna get beat we’re gonna get beat but as a fan just show me you’re willing to make substantial adjustments if your bend not break philosophy is FAILING EVERY SUNDAY.

I think he’s incompetent and that’s why he doesn’t have anything at all up his sleeve.

I ask because one of my golf buddies is a Falcon season tkt holder and he's down on both sides of the ball right now, but more on the OFC than the DEF...actually.

Well...good points. Basically Manuel is running Quinn's DEF....the cover 3 zone has been his staple for a decade plus. He changed up a couple of weeks ago, vs CIN. Played some press man and actually got back in the game, but on the Bengals last drive, he went back to cover 3 and they were able to move down and score that last sec TD to win it.

I hear ya...I wouldn't fire him....just too many playmakers out of the line up.

Trying to continue to run the Legion of Boom makes about as much sense as running the Grits Blitz.

True but football teams are not normally equipped to shift schemes on the fly...the new guys replacing Jones, Neal, etc. barely know the current scheme.

While you don't want to just give the DEF a total pass because of the injuries, the DL pressure needs to be better. Takk and Vic are just not doing enough imo. That said, I think the OFC has to carry the team until they can get Grady and Deebo back.

You’re a good fan, dude.

Part of it is I’m just so damn fed up.

It’s not just this year or this defense. It’s been a loooooong time and that cover two or cover three or soft zone or prevent or whatever they’re doing, I never liked it. Playing not to lose.

I’m off and rambling now but I wish we had kept Mora. Mike Smith and his incredibly predictable run first crap killed us. Now Quinn with this soft zone stuff. Meh.

I feel you...the golf buddy that is the season tkt holder is a native...Grady baby and I hear the few gaps in team history from him...lol My 1st stint living in ATL was the Glanville era...exciting and some success. Moved back Olympic year.

I've been a Steeler fan 40+ yrs, although Ryan is clearly the best QB in team history, Vick made me a Falcon fan...until then you could only see them on the road on TV...went to quite a few games back then with that sweetheart deal on the Tkt Blank did to sell it out...smartest move...worse thing Blank did I thought was fire Reeves.

Quinn...he's still growing as a game day decision maker, but I thought/think he's the right man for the job...most of his hand picked talent does fit his scheme...they missed on the big CB but have mostly nailed his draft picks. I like their brand of DEF...tad small, but fast, gotta get more consistent off the edge.

I do understand what you mean still...The NO/CIN game I would've like to have seen him change it up and go after Brees/Dalton some late...they switched up to a man in the CIN game, got back in it, and backed off late...didn't understand that one.

lol

I was born in Grady.

Is that right...lol

Well...W is a W is a W

It would've been interesting to see the outcome if the Bucs had been able to keep the running game in play...that last drive so too close for comfort but again, it was a W. That said, that DEF which played well in spurts, is a shell of what it was expected to be with Neal, and the boys.

Koetter and Winston are a rare couple that can lose to Atlanta

God I hated Koetter when he was our OC

Tony G would have a ring if it weren’t for that idiot

How he got a head coach position is beyond me

But yeah I’ll take the W

DIRTY BIRDS ARE BACK!

Yeah, you always take the W unless you're tanking huh...lol

Well, the team can't really look ahead, but fans sure can...if the Falcons are going to recover this season, they pretty much need to win the next 4...NYG, @ WAS, @ CLE, DAL.

If we're talking about the Falcons at 6-4 after week 11, maybe...

Most of the best players on our defense are hurt. I think it would be pretty dumb. Dumb like how the Cardinals fired their offensive coordinator because the front office made a garbage quarterback pick in the draft.
