I think everyone knew going in that Gruden would be a disaster. What could go wrong with hiring a guy that has been in the tv booth for a decade and not on the sidelines keeping up with the evolution of the game. I laughed at the thought of hiring Gruden. I laugh anytime anyone mentions wanting to hire Billick or Cowher. They were all good coaches in their day, but odds are the game has passed them by.

It's funny you say that ... I was in a bar Sunday watching multiple games and there was a table of Raiders fans right next to me.

They were so intense the entire game even when Seattle was up 27 0 or something like that late in the game. They were clapping and cheering whenever the Raiders would get a first down. It was bizarre.

I agree the Raiders may be the worst team in the league. This Seahawks defense is a shell of its former self and the Raiders made them look like it was 2013 again.

I don't think bringing back Gruden was a bad idea, but giving him a 10 year $100 million contract might have been if that contract is all guaranteed.

He proved it a bad idea when he traded Mack, then was surprised by how good he was. Um, duh! And this coming from the guy who thought every guy was the best ever when talking them up on MNF. The game has passed him by.

Also the rumor was the Raiders wanted a 1st for Cooper
