Gotta bump this thread again. Like a hero, I've also gathered all the comments from this thread and the other one and oh my it's lol. You're welcome board. Here we go:

richig07

Howard should have a nice statistical season, IMO. More chances around the goal line, for sure.

Brings up stats supporting why Howard can lead the league in rushing TDs -- epic fail

noonthirtyjoe

Howard has been a top back with everyone knowing the play and everyone geared to stop him. This should be a year with teams focusing elsewhere and defending the whole field. I can't wait. If Nagy can't fit Howard then we hired a shit coach and him and Pace will be gone together in 2 years. But that's NOT what is going to happen. Trubs will shine, teams won't be able to stack or key on Howard and he will go nuts. BS will finally realize Howard is a pure stud.

I know Howard is making you look foolish as you have been down on him from day one. I just want you to know it's gonna get worse (for you) and stay that way for years.

Just admit you are wrong about Howard you will feel better. You keep fighting the truth and you keep losing. This has already gone on for 2 years, and by now you must realize how incredibly stupid you are. The rest of us got it right away.

Howard will lead the league in TD,s and finish top 3 in rushing. He may be the top RB in Bears history. Payton/Sayers move over.

(responding to the question, would you take Howard over Payton/Sanders?) Maybe, I'll tell you when all 3 are done playing. I know at the 3 year mark who is in the lead.

beardown07

I agree with noon...if you can't find a way to fit in a top 10 RB, then you are a shitty coach.

Kid's a beast. Perfect Bear RB.

nebearsfan70

Howard is a good RB and he should have continued success under Nagy.

beengay fudgepackers

(supporting Howard leading the NFL in rushing TDs) The man is off to a better start than any Bears running back in history while in an offense that has been absolutely awful, with a coaching staff that was hopeless, and you still find a way to hate on this guy. You really are a stubborn moron.

The Genius:

I can see why you think I am wrong in regards to Howard. I really do. This is one where the truth isn't so obvious. But like all my other controversial opinions on the Bears, I will be right at the end.

And this is why I am a genius and hated on this board. I see things you morons don't see. I saw Howard was overrated 2 years ago. Which is right in line with how far in advance I see things compared to you clowns. I'd like to quote hyperbole noon when he said "the rest of us got it right away (regarding Howard)". --Yes you did noon, lmao, yes you did.
You're right. Howard is not good.

He is what he is: a power back, and a good one at that. But the NFL has passed him by and there's not a natural place for him in this offense or many other offenses in the NFL.

No. Just no. This is just not true.

I have a feeling you all will be singing different tunes in November and December.

We'll see. It doesn't mean you can get by with Tarik Cohen taking all your snaps, and Howard isn't a worthless guy to have, but i would just put him in the same boat as a guys like Chris Ivory, LeGarrette Blount, etc. There's a place for these guys, it's just not as a featured back who slams the ball 20+ times a game between the tackles for you anymore, certainly not in this offense.

Nagy is basically using Howard and Cohen almost 50/50 now, and you can see that it's Cohen who's creating the big plays and causing matchup problems while it's Howard who's trying to grind some tough yards out on the ground. That's fine, you're just not centering an offense around a guy like that anymore. The truly dynamic offensive teams are the guys who can more effectively be a threat in both the running and passing games. Guys like Gurley, Hunt, Gordon, Barkley and Elliott. The best we could hope for is what the Saints have with Kamara and Ingram.

Jordan Howard apologist continue their downward spiral of lame excuses:

* "He is among the best running backs in history"
* "He is going to thrive in this offense"
* "He needs about 30 carries before he starts becoming effective"
* "He'll start playing better in November and December"

What an awesome RB. He's only good when it gets colder. (rolls eyes)
Who would you rather try to tackle in cold slippery weather? Tarik Cohen or Jordan Howard? Only to the idiots, is this not obvious.

Jordan Howard is finished. Not because of the new offensive system. Because he was never very good to begin with. The cat's out of the bag. Figure it out already idiots.

Howard and Cohen are a blessing to have, and only a miserable cunt, would revel in either of their failures. Huge division win today, and all you have to say, is nanna nanna boo boo.

You are a shitty fan.

If this thread doesn't prove my genius, what does? I mean come on, I was right on the money with Howard.

Jordan Howard, totally overrated

Notable quotes:

The genius:

* You see stats, the genius sees through stats. Mark my words, Howard is overrated and will be exposed. I said it first, and when the shit hits the fan, everyone here will be saying they saw it too. It happens every time.

* If I ran the Bears, i would trade high on Howard.

* I don't believe he's a stud. I believe we will get more from him trading him than watching my prediction of him come to realization

* You dolts rely on total yards or ypc to tell you whether he sucks or not. I see through those stats.

* Howard is overrated. And when you all realize this, you'll be screaming with everyone else how you never liked him from the beginning.

* Mark my words: HOWARD IS OVERRATED AND OVERHYPED BY OUR FANS. And when the shit hits the fan, every one of you idiots will claim they were never on the Howard bandwagon. Every one of you. It happens over and over again.

Those two backs have never produced like Howard.

Everyone in this thread is being ridiculous. It can be true (and likely is true) that Howard is a good running back who struggles in Nagy's offense.

He is best when he moves forward quickly to the spot where he expects a hole to be. He isn't a "pauser" like Cohen or a dancer. Hes a downhill running back who is at his best running through defenders, not being tricky or agile.

Those are all traits that thrive in a zone blocking scheme. Not so much in a power scheme. And this offense pretty much exclusively power blocks.

Howard does struggle in this offense. BS was right about that point.

Supposedly though, a zone blocking scheme is best for one-cut and go backs, which is theoretically Howard.

I don't think the run blocking has been very good though. Howard has had very little room to run on the whole, but that still doesn't make him a good back for this offense.

Either you can hit a hole or not...……..And a good coach is suppose to use a players best ability...…..So why wouldn't nagy change up to Howards ability rather than watching these brutal 2 yard gains...……….doesn't seem logical to me.

This is an absurd statement. Even if Howard's down statistical year does persist. This is a guy who produced at an insanely high level in 16 and 17.

Howard's best virtue is his patience and vision. If you back to 16 and 17 most of his runs were off tackle and started east/west. With Howard finding his hole and turning it up. They weren't straight forward runs (for the most part).
