Frost did say that the 2nd year was when it would all come together. Gotta go through the bad times to get to the good.

Nebraska produces players good enough for Iowa, Iowa State, Kansas State, North Dakota and Wyoming. How many kids from Nebraska are being targeted by Alabama, CLemson and Ohio State?

Nebraska is a virtual dead sea when it comes to producing elite college football prospects.

That is what I was trying to get at with the Nebraska fan. It is why I think Nebraska will have a tough time ever competing with national powers again.

Now that they are in the B1G it can’t help recruiting out West or Southwest, as their games are being played in the Midwest.

I think with their facilities and tradition — they can bring in top 25 classes each year and compete in the B1G West, but their ceiling is only so high.

What of it? How many 1st round picks does the state of Alabama have? I honestly don't know. What I do know is that most of the talent residing in Tuscaloosa isn't from within the state

Since 2008, just scanning through the recruiting ranks. Julio Jones, Mark Barron, Marcell Dareus, Dre Kirkpatrick, DJ Fluker, Dee Ford, Dee Milliner, Jameis Winston, Reuben Foster, OJ Howard. And those are just guys that I know were picked in the 1st round off the top of my head. I don't feel like going back 25 years, but my guess is there'd be a lot more.

It's year one. Nobody should be going all Bill Callahan on Frost yet.

He will take his lumps for a couple of seasons until he gets his kind of players in to run his system. After that, they can judge how well he's doing.

We were picked to finish last in the SEC West, and fans are still pissed that we’re losing. Not very much patience these days...same boat.

BS. They have more talent than half the teams in the B1G.
I think their roster is better than Illinois and Rutgers . That's probably it

Tradition ....

Here's the deal . Tradition is great but tradition is a small step from history . I said this in another thread but here's the reality . Kids being recruited now don't remember a time where Nebraska football has ever been relevant . Telling them about the 80s and 90s is no different ( to them ) than Pitt telling them about the 70s or Minnesota telling them about the 60s. Frost isn't the issue. Callahan, Pelini, Riley are the issue . Nebraska has gone 17 years of being in obscurity. Their tradition is too old to matter now.

I'm not talking about how good their roster is. The strength of the roster is measured by how well the team plays together.

I'm saying the talent of individual players on their team is in the top 25% of the conference. The coaches just don't know how to work with it.

I bet you're wrong. I'd bet 60-75% of Alabama's roster is homegrown.

Then again, this was a spoiled bunch that got ice cream with sprinkles and didn't have to use the weight room.
Good gawd. This should suck. Sounds exactly like what we heard regarding the cornhuskers favorite place to hate! Oh, the irony.

Defensive, weak minded post is defensive and weak minded.

How many 4 and 5 star recruits come out of Nebraska on average per year?

If you're gonna get over Alabama, Ohio State and Clemson, you're gonna need a lot of 4 and 5 star recruits, so most of Nebraska's players are gonna have to come from out of state if you want to be a natty contender.
2.

As of right now, the 2019 24/7 site shows two 4*s and three 3*s and all five are Nebraska committs.

Honestly, I didn't break it down that way, but they have had the 4th best recruiting class grade in the conference pretty consistently for the past several years.
