We spend most of the next day talking about how late you stayed up..

I used to like the "routine" of the 1 and 4 o clock games but it is tough to stay up for some of the late games without conking out.
I know that 90% of the time I can't stay up for the end of Mariner games that start at 7.......but then again, it is the Mariners :doh:

Baseball in general is a sloooow game to watch. With the latest playoffs between the Red Sox and Yankees each pitch becomes... "critical" and the game take forever.

West.

But I can't stand football "up here". Even with Sunday Ticket, every game that is shown on CTV is syndicated.

I feel that Syndication is one of the WORST IDEAS of all time. If I'm watching a American football game. Let me watch it with American commercials

The Sunday Ticket feeds don't get Canucked up. Not that I've noticed anyway. Mind you I don't do commercials. I don't think I see a CTV or TSN logo floating in a corner on those feeds.

But it you stay with a CTV channel, count on missing something coming out of commercials all the time while they squeeze in an ad for some shit show they are hyping.

Midwest or an hour later than where I am would be best for me. I'm definitely not interested in watching football, or anything, before noon and in the midwest the late ones wouldn't end too late.

Nothing like a cold winter AM, pot of coffee, fume hood (fireplace) burning, and that 9 AM pregame herb up the chimney.

Maybe when I retire. But I like to sleep in on weekends. It's sort of a family trait.. late to bed and late to rise. My 88 YO mom still tells me not to call her before 11am. My wife is just the opposite. I used to sleep until noon on weekends before we got together. I'm usually up by 9:30/10. But I haven't done a wake & bake since college.

When the games start at 11am. 10am is a tad to early. Remember when MNF started at 9:00 back east. If you went to the game you weren’t getting home til close to 2am

Yes!
I get up at like 12 on the weekends! Sleep is where it’s at!

Sleep in? Que?

I'm up at 4:35 AM every weekday AM.

For me 7 AM is a sleep in.

I used to be able to sleep in like a champ. Not now.

No matter, on nice summer days I get a lot of daylight...

I don't always burn the herb, sometimes I just like that secretive piece of cake with my coffee.

But I do love the early start. 10 AM is just about perfect. I used to sit and watch the trained chimps doing pregame stuff, not I choose to read a book for an hour or so until I roust my son from his heavy sleep to watch.

Unless there's F1. Then we are watching at 8 AM to avoid NFL overlap.

Just depends on the body clock.

I used to watch 3 rented movies on a weekend night.

I've decided I like washing my car or reading in the AM instead. So NFL early is perfect.

Hours in the day are a balloon. You squeeze them to fit. Nobody gets more than 24.....

Except Kiefer Sutherland...

I remember the days of getting up early on the weekends. I hated waking up at 7am back east and the early games started at 1. Now I roll out of bed at 9:45... drink coffee and turn in the game. AZ doesn’t do day light saving time so in a few weeks the games start at 11 not 10. 11 is perfect! To each their own!

4:35... the only time in my life I’ve been up that early is when I’ve stayed up too late.
4:35 is brutal. ;)

Sometimes I'm barely wake enough in the Central time zone to go to work, let alone on the Eastern time zone.....Props to them.....

Not a lot of mentions of the Mountain Time Zone but maybe that's because the Broncos are about the only team that play in it year round. For me it's perfect. Games are at 11:00/2:00/6:00. Prime time games end around 9:00 pm. Definitely the sweet spot for a day filled with NFL football.
