Media day has kicked off, so might as well start this up.

Don't expect Simmons to start shooting 3's this year.

I've liked what I've seen from the Sixers in pre-season.

Simmons free throw shot looked better. Fultz's shot looks smoother. Embiid looks like he wants to be the most dominant player in basketball.

Homie hasn't looked great yet but that's no big.

It's been a mixed bag for me. I know it's preseason and they're working on some new rotations and new faces, but would like to see them doing better in the turnover department.

Embiid looks unstoppable inside the arc, though he's also shooting a lot more 3's than I expected. I know he wants it to be a part of his game, but it's not going in any better than it did last year at this point. Just the fact of how dominate he's been inside is what makes it a little more frustrating right now. Granted, if he can find that shot...

Shamet has looked very comfortable out there, much further along than I was expecting.

TJ and Amir look to be their usual efficient selves.

Ben and Fultz look like they can grow together on the court at the same time, though I wouldn't mind them being more staggered during the season.

JJ looks like JJ, Dario is off to a slow start, hopefully it doesn't take as long to get into the flow as last year. RoCo should have some slight improvements. Was hoping Muscala looked better than he has, don't really like his look at the 4. Would have liked Chandler to have been able to get in more work during the preseason to see where he can best fit in with the lineups.

Feel like JJ will be getting the call earlier in the game then they were expecting if Dario and RoCo aren't hitting 3's early in the year.

Philly with a chance to set the tone and make a statement tonight and they fail miserably

its the still the same trash from the usual suspects. Dario Saric, bleh, Robert Covington getting torched on defense and trash on offense. Markelle Fultz, who is going to end up being of the biggest busts ever

this team was desperate to add quality wing talent and 3 pt shooting, so what do they do??, oh yeah nothing

barring injury, they will beat most teams on the sheer talent of Simmons and Embiid alone, and should easily make the playoffs, and then get torched in 2nd round again. This team has no depth, absolutely NOTHING outside their 2 allstars

What a bitch, they played the best team in the east. They have a ways to go clearly, don't let the door leave your prostrate or something.
Seriously have a good one. It's about how the team grows this year the Celtics come the playoffs. Not the first game of the year

Ok after one game in, fultz ain't shit. He's all dribble with no floor awareness. This why TJ will never be buried on the bench on this team. Although he's lacking in so many skillsets, he's a pretty good floor general. Embiid and Redick yells at fultz all the time during games

It's one game in, so I don't want to be too judgmental, but Fultz has a ways to go before he can be counted on as anything other than a role player. I want to stay positive, but I don't see anything that stands out in his game ... if he doesn't beat you off his initial move he just gets stuck. He's also not assertive ... "maybe" that will come with more time, but at this point he is very timid on Offense. Simmons looked really good ... I see him taking the next step this year and becoming a force; even if that jumper is still not there. I see him at least taking some jumpers, so that's a positive step. Eventually they will start dropping ... when they do ... watch out league! Embiid was himself ... not the greatest game he's had, but he'll be a force all year. Dario was in foul trouble most of the night ... that hurt us against Boston as we need that 3rd puzzle piece.

Boston is just so deep, they are going to be very hard to contend with until we can depend on our role players as much as they look to theirs.

I was good with last nite. I think Fultz just needs to get used to playing in the NBA. Give it time. I do agree, we will need to get a 3rd star. I don't see one on this team. I love Shamet, hopefully last nite is a preview of things to come.

Fultz is just not good. he looks like someone that should been drafted late 2nd round. another slow start tonight vs a horrible magic team.

i won't disagree it was a bad pick. i thought it was a bad pick at the time, if only for the decision to trade a very valuable pick along with the right to pick him. if he was there at 3 and they wanted him, cool. very talented draft.

that said, he's still trying to learn to play with this team, i'll give him some time. we're making the playoffs regardless this year, can't we at least focus on the growth and not bitch about every little thing that's not perfect? I mean a forum only talking about Embiid would, I guess still be pretty entertaining, he's fucking amazing.

thanks to the eagles, each of these OT losses strike a bit more pain to them.

that being said, great to see the team was able to come back from a 6 point deficit on OT, though the fact they still lost with the chance to go up made it worse as well, either way, i trust we'll get there.
