2018 Purdue Game Week Thread

since no one else wants to do it. Line is Purdue -3/-3.5 at the moment.

i'm starting this just because i saw these stupid comments about Frost saying "we have a winnable game next saturday" after the horrible loss to Purdue and people somehow see that as a slight to Purdue. what the frak is a coach supposed to say, we are going to lose big time to Purdue?

I don't understand what the big deal is over the "winnable" comment. Every game is winnable. Some more so than others.

similar to Frost, i see Purdue as a winnable game. less winnable than i was thinking at the beginning of the season but still winnable. teams seem relatively even in talent (nebraska is ahead based on recruiting rankings, but at the moment i'm just not sure that really matters). I think that will help the D play a little better. If our O can just getting going then this will be a coin flip kinda game. i still think Frost needs to lean more on the o-line and force them to step up and run the damn ball a lot. i know he wants to protect AM, but i think you are protecting him more by doing an inside zone read with RPO if AM keeps it. if he can scoot around the end for 5 yds and has to slide to avoid a hit, that's better than an outside zone read where he has to go up the middle where more guys will be there to tackle him.

Win or lose, i just want to see the team not make mistakes this week. particularly on defense, which can be the difference between a close game and us being way behind.

I want to see improvements in fundamentals. Nebraska needs to do a better job at that and special teams need to improve they are breaking down way to much on punts and taking really bad angles.

Why does it feel like this shit has been hurting us for the last 15 years? It has felt like we've been talking about dumb penalties, shooting ourselves in the foot, shitty offensive line play and special teams sucking for as long as I can remember.
