I know it's only pre-season, but Flames goaltending thus far doesn't give me a warm fuzzy. Hopefully, it's just shaking some rust off.

I'm just glad the Hawks are on a Tuesday when there is nothing else going on. This will at least give me something to be able to look forward to tonight.

I smell a trade with the Leafs forthcoming. Are you more interested in a McBackup, in the best goalie in the AHL last season or a reclamation project in Calvin Pickard?

We've already discussed this, I forbid any Flames - Leafs swap as it always turns out badly for Calgary.

Could I interest you in a slightly dented Joonas Korpisalo?

Jackets have JF Berube who looks like he might be able to handle 20 games this year.

As for the Jackets, this preseason hasn't been good. Werenski is still not 100%, Panarin has a neck strain and Ryan Murray (who was fucking stellar in his one game so far) got kicked in the dick and is "day to day".

Liam Foudy and Sam Vigneault have looked pretty decent, but I don't expect any surprises making the team. Abramov has already been sent to the AHL. The roster is pretty much gonna be:

Panarin - Dubois - Atkinson
Foligno - Wennberg - Bjorkstrand
Anderson - Jenner - Dubinsky
Duclair - Nash - Sedlak

Milano and Hannakeinen in reserve

(I expect a trade of 2 bottom six forwards for assets. They just have too many bodies here)

Jones - Werenski
Murray - Carlsson
Nutivaara - Savard

Kukan and Harrington in reserve

Bob
Floppy Fishisalo

I'd argue you got the better of the Phaneuf deal.

Of course he did wind up in Ottawa, which was hilarious, so maybe it wasn't so bad on our end.

lol - A slight dented Joonas Korpisalo is intriguing. However, I think Treliving is likely just going to stand pat and hope for the best.

Lindholm's pass that was picked off in OT and led to the Jets GWG last night would have been a beauty if it had gotten through. I don't mind trying those types of passes in a pre-season game with nothing on the line.

Really sloppy play on both sides early on, but we are going to need Seabs and Keith to step it up this year.
