Well I took one on the chin, but feel good about going forward. 138 with Bell not playing and I left points on the bench. Looks like I might have found the WRs I need going forward with Golladay and Enunwa. Darnold was targeting Enunwa at a Hopkin like pace. Who a thunk it? My faith in Golladay looks like it’s going to pay off at Jones expense.
Hyde and Thompson were useful, now if Bell would just quit screwing around and sign, things will be looking up. I’m so glad I traded for Thomas, he’s looking mighty good.
Bummer about Goodwin getting injured though.
Also listening to Pete on the radio sounds like he’s going to lean on Carson for a bit, thinks Penny needs time to work on some things.

Yea - you look pretty good man. Jury is still out on my bunch - wasn't really expecting much from my rooks - but was looking for big numbers from the vets (some did ok, other not - but it's early). Hated losing D. Jones (damn, I just keep breaking DP's) - he was set up for a big yr.

I would expect those vets that let you down to bounce back, their history says they should. Also noticed you had some bench players that did better then expected.
You will have a much better score this week I’m sure, hopefully not enough to knock me off though.:hope:

To all who traded with me during the offseason - YOU ARE WELCOME. Obviously my view on player values were significantly off the mark.

@Bandit

need to update the roster limits or do you have it set up like this for a reason?
(asking since for our other league, need to know if I should adjust our settings)

I actually did that for a reason. The maximum amount of players is set at 24, so you still can't have more than that, but I changed the reserve number to 15 instead of 13 because it annoyed me when you tried to add somebody or drop somebody and Fantrax wouldn't let you do it because you didn't meet the required number of starters or because it would give you too many bench players and then you had to go into your lineup and switch players out so that the guy you were dropping was no longer a starter so it didn't yell at you. It was just a way to keep the max at 24 but try and circumvent the system a bit.

nothing like a cool 29 pts from a flex and an IDP to get a head start against the defending champ! Thanks Crow and Schobert. (Extra thanks to whomever dropped Schobert, been a great substitute for Bosa! ;) )

I originally dropped him to keep Kirksey, not sure why lefty dropped him, but you beat me to snatching him back up

I found a newer toy to play with (Darius Leonard). .... of course he'll probably disappear now.

obviously if you have your lineup locked in, great, but I've gotten into the habit of just moving my flex plays that are in games on TNF into the RB or WR roster slots, for those 'just in case' moments.

EXAMPLE: let's say, Hopkins pulls his hammy in practice today, and I had Landry in my flex spot last night, and all of my other good flex options are RBs, I'm kinda fucked
If I moved Landry into WR slot and Hopkins into flex, I could save my week even after losing a top WR if my next best flex play from the bench has a good day

not calling you out or anything, just discussing general fantasy strategy so we can all improve/fine tune our methods

what are your thoughts?

That's usually my thought process too, but given matchups and injury status-es this week, I'm pretty well locked in. And the one place I've got question or doubts, can still be switched out at game time regardless. The duel flex aspect makes it more flexible (well, yea), and not quite too important when your really only worried about one spot.

Good game SmokingMonkey thought I was going to steal one from you, but guess not.:suds:

Guess what goes around comes around - thought the same last week when I played you. This week had my best showing but played the wrong guy. ....

Had Fitzmagic and Conner in this dyansty
BigBen, Conner, Juju, and Evans all going against Bandit in another dynasty
Antonio Brown and Barber in work league
Fitzmagic in keeper league (benched Brees!)

pulled them all out for a nice finish to week 3 across my money leagues

very good battle - thought I was toast when Callaway didn't get that long TD and Hyde rolled to a good TNF stat line

love this, man, it would've been sweet if you got Alf, I would've made sure to post a screen shot of the transaction for proof on here, or I doubt most would've believed it
