So it is no secret that there is a little friction building between Brady and Lord Bill. The question is:
Is Brady more frustrated with Bill the coach or Bill the GM?
I'm guessing it's Bill the GM. Given the lack of talent around him, Brady is quickly running our of rabbits to pull out of his ass.

He's more frustrated at that brick wall he just ran into.

Brady has always gotten yards be spreading the ball around. This year, he's run out of targets.

He doesn't play Butler in the SB, when Butler made the game winning Int in the SB before. Bill get's rid of Lewis and Butler, Cooks and Amendola sign elewhere. Gronk was on the table to go to Detroit and think Bill wanted to keep Garrop, who only lasted 6 Q's before injury here. and now out for the year, shows the brittleness. Bill is a helluva Defensive coach, GM not so much

I had everything on the pats. I didn't expect that.
Pats looked very bad last night. I have never seen Brady look so uncomfortable. Nothing really clicked on the offense and much credit to the Lions defense. The Pats really need to fix that defense if they want to go anywhere in the playoffs. They win the AFCE by default. I'm not buying into the 3-0 Dolphins.

To me it seems like BB is a victim of his own success. He acts like as long as he can give Brady role players, they will win with his system. It has worked in the past but it sure feels like that train has left the station. They will rebound as always but to what degree. I would have to say that playoffs HFA is in serious doubt. Hell, I no longer even consider them a lock to win their division unless something drastically changes.
If things continue on this train, I would not be surprised to see Brady hang it up after this year, nor would I blame him.

He did get a 1st (Isiah Wynn) and 6th (traded again) for Cooks and a 4th (traded again).

if BB plans to continue to coach after Brady is done, he will want as much talent in place on the roster to give himself the best chance to succeed ... has BB already started planning for 2020 or 2021 and that's what we're seeing?

I didn't have a problem with Cooks because he was too rich for NE's wallet. BB has never been big on drafting skilled offensive weapons in the first few rounds. Last first round pick was on Edwards RB like 15 years ago or so. His forte has been on D and last few years , Pats have not had any pass rushers since they traded Jones to AZ and Ninkovich was decent here.

I think that it's a combination of getting older and lack of talent around him. He's not done especially with the new rule's protecting the QB but when there's even a slight drop off its noticeable. Happened to Manning...
