It's only one game and actually half a game. I just thought since the game I watched where they beat Ohio State and then I watched him a lot that he had IT. I lot of people were calling him the next Manziel, but I didn't think so. We will see. We know from experience that sometimes it takes defenses a while but they catch up to a guy. Mayfield is just so accurate and gets rid of the ball so quickly. Nothing against Darnold because he has skills but he is light years behind Baker … at the moment. Two or three years from now maybe that changes.

RIP tommy mcdonald

some of my first stories about pro football that i read as a young boy were about him. if you watch film on him he was amazing

When I was a very young football fan and living in Philadelphia it was about Sonny, Tommy, Chuck Bednarik, Pete Retzlaff, Irv Cross, Tim Brown, Riley Gunnels, Tom Brookshirer and Maxie Baughn.

Tommy was a little guy but tough as nails. Hell no one was tougher than Bednarik. See, I was an Iggles fan before my parents moved us to DC.

I am all geeked out wearing my Caps jersey for the first game of the year. They raised the SC banner tonight which was very cool to see. As a fan from season one that grew up just a couple of miles from Capital Centre and was at all the games preseason and regular season in 1974 it is beautiful sight. Go Caps!!

Ya had me at Capital Centre....Geeez, I remember when that site opened back in the 70's. Well played sir, well played! :suds:

Ahhhh...NO! It's still football and what happens beyond that 2.5 seconds matters. To make my point clearer, what if we ranked QB's by how quickly they release the ball?

The good news … I had a really good date last night. We had some good pizza and Old Bay wings and she gave me a hug because the Redskins were playing so poorly. All was not lost. :becky:
