If I think Tech is a top 25 team, why cant I rank a team with the same record that beat the shit out of them on a neutral field? Bama is going to humiliate everyone this year.

You can do whatever you want, it's like Freedom of Speech in the fact that you can say whatever you want. But with that means that you also have circumstances to deal with.

If Ole Miss is a top 25 team, a team I watch closely as I have friends who are alum, then by God just put up in the NFC South and get it over with.

Why does everyone want to cherry pick games?

They beat a currently ranked team on neutral field by 20, beat an FCS team by 30 and beat Kent State by 21. And lost to Bama.

That's why I asked if you watched Ole Miss. The team that was struggling mightly against Kent state this weekend until scoring 14 points late against Kent State.

I'm just asking if you watched them, because while I didn't watch the TT game, I did watch them against Bama and Kent State and they are horrendous. Likely not even good enough to make a bowl game, bad.

Watched them against ASU and they shot themselves in the foot, otherwise they would be undefeated.

Plus, a team from the North going into the desert gets a lot of respect for me. I wish more teams would do it. Hell, I would love Bama to call up Michigan and try to play a game up there in December.

I've watched every game theyve played. They looked like shit against Bama, but everyone will. And had a slow start to the Kent State game. They blew the fuck out of Tech, game was probably more lopsided than the score indicated.

Mate, I'm as biased against Ole Miss as anyone after they beat us in back-to-back years with less talented, and illegally put together teams.

Just next week I expect better and drop them the fuck out.

Your list is fine, one guy who has an issue is the same guy who had a problem with people who put USF in the bottom of their rankings last week because they needed the 4th quarter to beat Illinois, but has no problem keeping Penn State at #5 this week, and is now apparently impressed enough with USF’s 7 point win over East Carolina to rank them.

The other guy has a problem with your #20. It’s SportsHoopla and people need to bitch about something I guess...

First off, Penn State wasn't my #5 last week, they just moved up this week, and that was only due to Oklahoma struggling mightily with Army. Also, Penn State beat Illinois by 39 points, so not sure why they're even being brought up.

Secondly, USF is ranked due to attrition, simple as that.

My rankings are going to fluctuate somewhat drastically this early in the year. At this point, I also think we can reward teams for good wins. At this point beating a team like Texas Tech who has wins over Houston and Oklahoma State, appears to be a quality win. And beating them the way Ole Miss does is impressive. But I mean it's tough to defend a selection when someone admittedly is biased against Ole Miss.
