So Stomp and my matchup is coming down to 3 players each on SNF and MNF and it got me thinking... it feels like @Stomp and I have had a handful of matchups like this so Im looking through the league history to check it out and now Im wondering who each of us would consider our "rivals" in the league based on our short 2+ season history...

Looks like Stomp and I have played 3 regular season games and I have won all 3 by a combined score of 15.7 points including a .1 point margin of victory in the first season. And if I remember correctly, at least 1 or 2 of those games was decided by a big SNF/MNF showing.

Tonights matchup shaping up similarly with Stomp up 2 with Stafford, Gronk, ,and Prater still going. Ill have AB, Conner, and Barber going tomorrow night for the win.

Maybe been a little one sided in outcome, but I consider that a solid rivalry still. And helps that we're division rivals who were the 2 highest scoring teams last year and Stomps only 2 losses were to me :heh:

@femurov for being the only other champion to date in the league, as well as for me winning by only 2.5 in our only regular season matchup before this year and then facing off in the championship again last year (I won again in case you all forgot

@averagejoe for smoking me early in 2016 then following it up again by beating me in the playoffs that year as well. and also being one of only 4 teams ive never beaten if my notes are correct (the others are milk, @Yellow Fuzzies , and @TREFF - and apparently ive somehow never played treff :noidea:

)

Anyways just was curious about all that and looked it up so I figured id share. I think its neat to develop some rivalries but maybe nobody else will care much lol. and maybe not something you can force anyways :noidea:

looks like the upcoming games I should have circled on the schedule for this year are...

@TREFF next week (week 4) for our first ever matchup

@MilkSpiller22 in week 6 for a revenge game

@averagejoe in week 9 for another (belated) revenge game

and

@Stomp of course for whats sure to be yet another classic in week 13

Good luck to you all but Im sure my guys will bring a little extra for rivalry week

A few notes on this. You have played @Stomp 4 times in the regular season in which you have won 3 times.

I try to make the schedule as even as I can, but you can end up with only playing a team every 3 years. That is what happened with you and @TREFF. The schedule is done by you play everyone in your division twice for 6 games, weeks 3,5 ,8,11,12, &13. You play all teams in one of the other divisions (rotates each year), weeks 1,2, 4, &6. You then play the 2 teams in the last two divisions that finished with the same record as you, weeks 7 and 9. For week 10 this year I ended up doing a coin flip of each teams remaining teams to see who would play who.

Ooh your right! Thanks for the correction! Actually adds to the rivalry, knowing we've both come out on top.

And gotcha. Certainly hope you dont think I was complaining about the schedule! Just an odd quirk i noticed, you do a hell of a job (that i wouldnt want to/couldnt handle) with scheduling.

Running this league is not really that hard. we have 16 good players that do most things right. I will admit that the cut down from the Taxi Squad and the schedule are the two things I do the most work at.

The weekly review might be more work, but it is something I don't mind doing.

I just wish I could manage my team the way I manage this league. :lol:

I would have smashed everyone Finals week.

It is all good, because my team is back on track this year and ready to contend again this year!
