The defense really is pathetic. We give up 31 pts to a not very good Jags offense. The Titans hold them to 6 pts

I can't stand watching this defense chase everyone from behind. Not one of these defenders understands that tackling is taking the correct angle.

Belichek has three defenders out tonight and as bad as Rowe is, Johnathan Jones is not any better. Tre Flowers is the best pass rusher and Chung is the second best DB.

Why trade for a player and then inactivate him?? He said he was ready to play and he practiced three days.

Dorsett has had his hands on two passes and dropped them both.

McDaniels is still throwing short in back of the line of scrimmage and expecting the same result as 2014. Hey Josh the other teams have film too and they know how the Patriots love that play. Look at the defense. They're playing man to man. Short stuff doesn't work.

End of one Pats down 3-0

Lions will shove it down their throat to start the second.

Pats offense has 5 total yards in the first quarter.

The Lions want this more than the Patriots, just like the Jags did last week.

I thought that this team would be 13-3 this year with a very favorable schedule.

They look like they're going to be the NFL's punching bag. If they don't get their shit together quickly
they'll be lucky to go 3-13.

I've seen excavaters that can't open a hole like the Lions.

Time for bed.

Man, we seriously suck.

Brady doesn't trust any of these receivers. Looking the rest of the schedule with this team. Yikes.

Its still early (and we've been here before) but the Patriots are really bad right now.

If they lose to Miami (which is very possible) they are completely screwed.

The jets A team with a rookie QB spotting them 7 also, blew this team out . This Pats team could score 10. BB has really f'd this team up, he doesn't have the talent like usual with this team to make the usual adjjstments. The defense is out there it seems 7-8 minutes a drive 2 weeks in a row against below average offenses. Now sun and thursdqy game next week. Then Kc all at home going to be ugly. A long long year.

Glad they threw all that money at Hightower... he's in game-check cashing mode. Takes bad angles and slower than molasses. The only guys out there worth a damn on that side of the ball tonight were Roberts and Wise.

Dorsett needs to find a new profession.

This was painful game to watch.

Offense:

Blocking has been atrocious the past two weeks, worse than ugly. This line has been pushed all over the field.

Anyone remember my posts just before the cuts? Patricia wanted Malcolm Brown and was willing to give the Patriots Golden Tate plus another player. BB didn't want any part of that because if Brown was as good as BB advertises three years ago BB would look like a bad GM. Who played better last night??? Hey Bill, you didn't want me? I'll show you how smart you are.

Burkhead back in Concussion Protocol. The guy can't keep his head up. Keep your head up and things are much easier to see and avoid.

Brady doesn't trust anyone but Gronk. 14/26 133 yards 1 TD 1 INT. Sorry folks but Tom Brady looks old and slow. Maybe he should have been at OTAs.

Defense:

If this is the best that Brian Flores can do, then it's time to move on. This defense was supposed to attack and not be 'bend don't break'. Problem is that they broken down before the game gets started. Last week they could keep Bortles in the pocket, this week they could find a pocket. Matt Stafford is a really good passing QB and the patriots did not look at all prepared to deal with him.

I think it might be time for the Patriots to look inward. The secondary was toasted and burned last night just like last week.

I think Matt Chatham may have said best after the game. Other teams are getting younger and faster and the Patriots are not making off season adjustments. They looked like theey were playing in mud while the Lions were on turf.

The Patriots have no depth on both sides of the ball. As soon as they lose some of their few good players the second stringers are exposed... Hightower may be showing the cumulative effect of his injuries although he's still a gamer of a football player. There's only so far you can coach up average players.

It really could be the tipping point on this franchise but BUT we have been here before.

Pats just look out of shape. They usually outwork their opponents. I think the offseason was too messed up and they are not prepared physically. Defense just is not very good but missing key players they are really bad.

Find a way to win next week and then hopefully at least the offense gets back to where they used to be in week 5 forward.

The O-line looked better this week with Cannon back. At least as far as the pass blocking went. Losing Wynn is going to have a bigger effect then most thought.
Brady just looked disinterested. He was missing open receivers and throwing terrible deep balls. I hope he pulls his head out of his ass.
BB and his 1,000,000 WR transactions no wonder why Brady has little faith in anyone.

The D looked terrible once again. The DBs have sucked for a decade now. The LBs are still slow and with Flowers out their is almost zero pass rush.

At this rate NE will struggle for a WC spot.

Why is it NE struggles to coach up DBs and WRs?
