First, having returned a short while ago from a weekend getaway, I learn that my Bears game never recorded. I obviously fucked up and somehow failed to properly record the game. What a dickhead. I immediately checked the NFL channel to see if somehow the game will be replayed at some point this week. No luck with that, so I finally broke down and checked the scoreboard........think I'm glad I messed up on the recording. We had to come from behind to beat the Cardinals? The CARDINALS????????

Then I see that GB lost to the Redskins and even crazier, the Vikes had their clocks cleaned by the lowly Bills. I immediately looked around to see if Rod Serling was standing in the corner.

I'll get caught up on all the details in the next couple of days, but I suppose it's safe to assume that Trubs played yet another underwhelming game. And apparently our defense showed they are human before turning it around and playing like the dominant group that they are.

The Bears shit the bed in the first half but the D came around. Trubs made a few plays... And I mean a few... If it weren't for Mack and Hicks this would be a loss.

Glad we traded for Mack.

Yeah, I can't believe we have one of the premier defensive players in the NFL. Sad thing is the way our offense is playing, we're going to need every drop of dominance Mack can deliver.

And then I'm reading that Miller may be out for a while with a dislocated shoulder. I heard Gabriel and Prince left the game with injuries as well, altho I couldn't find much as to how serious each was. Damn, costly win.

Gabriel returned. Prince is just a hammy.

Not really "costly"... I mean, we all are dying for a clean year with injuries. However, nobody scrapes by squeaky clean. Just a couple bumps and bruises. We're good. *KNOCK ON WOOD*

Yeah... I'm patient, but we need a game out of Trubs here soon. It'd be really nice to see. Crossing my fingers for this week vs TB

Not just Trubs, everyone on Offense is learning a new complicated system and language with a total new staff, which is teaching everyone. New Wr's, TE, etc... This will take time.

Mahomes is in a totally different situation, everyone knows the system, he is the only one playing catch up and he had a year to learn it behind Smith.

The early bye is coming at just the right time. Let's hope we can bring Fitzmagic back to earth, go into the bye 3-1 with 4 games worth of tape for everyone on offense to learn from, then come out of the bye improved.

Thanks for the update. Glad it appears that maybe our injury status isn't as serious as it was first looking to me. However, I always keep a wary eye on hammy issues. They often have the ugly tendency to hang around.

Unfortunately, on the Miller front, it's not looking good at all, altho I expected the news on this to be bad. Miller is going to need surgery, the only question is when. If he chooses to hold off then he has to wear a harness. Once he has the surgery, he's off the program for 6 months. Here's my worthless two cents. Call it a season. Now. Playing with a harness is going to impact his game and not in a positive way. So get it over with and be ready to go next year. At least we still have White for the remainder of the season - might as well try and get our money's worth for the last year he's still a Bear.

Deshaun Watson says hello.......Hes not outstanding, but damn it,he's steps ahead of Trubisky....

And once again,I don't buy the so-called learning a new offense.....Many a q Bs go thru this.
And let's not forget Wentz was probably MVP last year in his second season.
Winston has looked good......Cam Newton.....drawing blanks, but yeah Trubisky needs to start showing he some improvement....

Miller injured it early and kept playing through it. He gathered another catch or two with it. I saw him get up and look like his arm was paralyzed. That dude has a shit ton of heart. But he needs to get healthy.

The defense sucked for two drives, then turned it on. The touch downs that the cardinals got were easy least throws that any nfl qb would’ve made.

The offense didn’t look good, but Nagy has been saying since before the preseason that it will take a little while for it to click. I’m going to take a patient approach with Trubisky and the offense. We got the win though. If we can sneak another one out against Tampa, going into the bye 3-1 is a huge victory.

Yeah, 3-1 and 1st place into the bye would be beautiful. I think we can all agree that we would have been very happy with that before the season. Not that we thought it to be unreachable.

I hope we can just continue to find ways throughout the first half, as the offense just inches itself forward a bit. Eventually into an explosion type of game.

It's kind of like our 2001, 2005 and 2010 teams. Early in those seaonss, we were not a very good team. However, we kept stacking up victories and our confidence kept rising. By November/December we were actually a good team that could hang with whomever.

Just win right now. Win, win, win...

Um, not the Watson of this year. I listened to Olin and Big Cat William's dissect all that was wrong with the Oline Sunday. There is a learning curve. They blamed a bunch, not all,but enough on o line confusion, which they based on systemic issues.

Watson has come off a season ending injury last season and started out horrible...….But has picked it up the lat two weeks...…….And DeShauns o-line has to be the worst in the league...…
And your right, our line has not played up to its capabilities...…...And its not the o-line that has under thrown wrs or misfired passes nor are they to blame for not hitting wrs in stride...….Just calling it the way I see it………...
