Just watched the Beltre exit. Would have shed a manly tear had I been there.

Just now saw it. Pretty much tells the story. We have been blessed to have seen such a man play baseball.

Last 7 games are West coast games. Guess it's only fitting the way the season has gone. We have lots of work to do so better get busy.

The cowardly part is one that is hard to agree with. Most of the rest of the article is spot on. I especially agreed with the following three points.

Don’t buy the insulting JD line of “transitioning” to describe his team’s position; they are in a full rebuild, and despite the presence of a few, nice young bats, this team’s problem remains the same one since they moved here from Washington, D.C., an inability to scout and develop their own pitchers.

JD is the one who thought it was a good idea to part with the most successful pitching coach in the history of this franchise when they let Mike Maddux walk to Washington.

The players checked out on Banister; seldom to never does a player ever want to admit the real problem is the mirror. This roster has always played for third baseman Adrian Beltre, which means Banister finally lost the one guy he could not lose.

No manager was going to win with this team. Of course the players hate the manager; all players hate their manager when the team is 31 games out of first place, and was all but eliminated from the playoffs on May 1.

Brinson had a very rough year. I wonder if he can be had.

Otherwise I am happy with a young talented Minor league ready for a chance even if his ceiling is a back up.

We do need a RHB
I don't think anyone has given up on him already. He and Williams and Alfaro are probably all going to have good careers.

There are almost always some setbacks early on in a career. We have undoubtedly seen some of that with Gallo, Mazara and Guzman and will probably see a little more of that from them. We will have to go through some growing pains with the guys who come up in 2019, 2020 and 2021 as well.

It is interesting how many guys who used to come on here and discuss the Rangers never come back now that the team is struggling. I can understand dropping by a lot less often, but some have just completely stopped altogether. I don't get that. To me there is actually more to discuss when the team needs "fixing" that when everything is going great.

Response 1. Don't buy transition.
Everyone knew we had to catch lightning in a bottle. They trade Yu. But insulting. That's bush. Mavs were straight up and got fined.

2. Maddox from want I remember wanted to manage but we hired Banister and he ended up at Washington. Maddox was a Nolan guy right? so there is his beef.
Not sure about the check out and people would think they play for pride but yes Hamels and Chavez have seemed to elevate their game with a contender. Imagine that. But then again yesterday we were blown out 13-0. Draw your own conclusions. He is not around so all blowhard IMO. (Well put)
Guess selected facts can be twisted to fit your narrative (wonder If some say that about me...Haha)

3. Not here to disagree on last point but JD took responsibility for record and said that was not a factor. People can believe that or not... Pure smokescreen. I have never seen any article for this guy that was not laced with prejudice and venom against JD. Shameful.

Agree with Brinson and Alfaro. Maybe not Nick. Brinson has been benched and there are some who doubt his future despite hard hit outs. Love his athleticism. Just dreaming

Nolan is long gone. I don't think a decision by Maddux or about Maddux had one thing to do with Nolan.

"There was a period of time where Mike was looking around, and we did the same," general manager Jon Daniels said. "As we talked internally, we did an internal review of what was best for the organization going forward. As we talked it through, we felt like there was an opportunity to get better with a new voice in that role."

Big mistake by JD and company in that internal review. Very big mistake.

The point he made about the record was not whose fault it was or even whose fault it was in JD's mind. The point is that a bad team is going to have players who dislike the manager. It was reportedly the players feelings about Banny that got him fired so it is a valid point. I wonder how many, if any, of the players who were whining about Banny will even be here when it is time for us to go to a WS.

If someone writes a negative article about JD does it have to be a result of prejudice against him? JD has given some legitimate ammunition to those who are not in favor of his performance as GM.

I would take Nick back in a heartbeat. He had an OPS over .800 in his first season. He struggled early this year, but has turned it around some of late.
