If I were P. Carroll, I would take ET III aside after that game and ask him, "Is that really the coaching staff you want to play for?"

The knock on him coming out of college is he struggles when pressured. Year one the run game and OLine really protected him and he played great. Dont really understand whats wrong cause I thought he was going to have a bounce back year. I was worried about the lack of WR's but Manster assured me and 3rd round pick can put up 70 catches and 900 yards like Dez no problem.

Yo, dumbass. I said 2017 Dez isn't unreplacesble, and if you think he's the difference your a bigger moron then I thought.

Now do me a favor, dont mention my name as I have purposely been ignoring your moronic posts.

Hell, better than not mentioning me is keeping your troop ass off this board.

He isnt the DIFFERENCE but they have NOTHING at WR and you blasted me all summer about how easy it will be for a 3rd round WR to come in and put up the same numbers. I guess you conveniently forgot.

You were worried? Really? You were worried that Dallas might not have decent WRs?

Get out of here with your patronizing BS and your sarcastic trolling. All you have come to do is rub in the faces of Cowboys.

Your M.O. is boring.

Worried in the sense for Dak rebounding. Its a figure of speech. Im not patronizing or trollling... but I was rubbing the absolute stupidity I was faced with from Pday and Manster and Handicappers saying "Wentz hasnt proven himself to be the better QB" which was absolutely ridiculous.

That was hard to watch, but I still did to the bitter end.

Here's my take aways (which I offer mostly to rant and not necessarily to give you guys any information that you can't already perceive for yourselves)…

1) The team was unprepared to play that game. The front seven on defense played tough and fast, but the secondary was absolutely clueless and out of position on half of the plays, especially when in two-deep safety formation.

2) We are still trying to be a pass happy team instead of running the ball down their throats. I mean, WTH, Zeke was averaging over five yards per carry midway into the third quarter (he finished with almost 8 ypc). No, not every run is going to get that much, but if he averages that much then the chains keep moving and it opens up the middle of the field. The play calling is horrendous. We should run at least 60% of the time. Instead, it was closer to 76% pass - 33% run. One could say score had something to do with that, but it was that way even before the Seahawks went up by two scores.

3) Sad to say, at this point, Dak appears to be incapable of being anything more than a game manager. He may yet be more than that and even now he can make a play or two in the game, but he's just not consistent enough either in pocket presence or in his accuracy to be balanced in our offensive game plan, and certainly not lopsided toward the pass.

4) My guess is that next week we will see about fifteen plays in the first quarter and a half that keep the Lion's defense on their toes, but then we will play the next six quarters with this same typical obvious play call: run on first, pass on second, and then run if three yards or less or short pass across the middle if more than three yards on 3rd.

5) For the first time in Garrett's tenure, it seemed that we actually did make some adjustments at half time, but they were too insignificant to have any real outcome on the game. On the first sack we saw two LBs blitz the QB, but then we got burned on it the next time as there was no one to cover the RB coming out of the backfield.

6) I'm really sick of seeing Garrett's uninterested blank stare from the sidelines when the offense struggles to move the ball. I would love to see even a small glimmer of passion in his eyes at some point, but that just isn't who he is. He can't get Linehan to mix things up more because there is never any urgency to him personally. I think there is something to be said for being calm and collected, but sometimes a bit of fire might actually have an impact. Honestly, though, I don't his mindset is any different than Linehan's when it comes to calling plays.

7) I don't think having Dez and/or Witten would have made a hill of beans difference in the outcome of this game. Yes, there is little offensive production, but that is due, IMHO, to the lack of creativity in the offensive scheme. I mean, would it take that much mental effort to try running the ball twice in a row to keep the defense guessing?

8) Until Travis Frederick comes back, this O-line is just mediocre. There are times when it opens a big hole for Zeke, but the pass protection is breaking down too quickly. Another reason to run 60% or more of the time.

Overall, that was U-G-L-Y.

BTW, had ET III been on our team instead of theirs, I don't think the outcome would have been that different. That's speculation, though.
Witten would not have coughed up two balls.

Today was bad no doubt but we are just 3 games in , with 13 to go. This league is as wide open as ever. It’s almost crazy. The problem is we have some real holes

Dak is a 4th round mediocre NFL QB that outplayed his draft position during a magical year where there was no tape on him, he had the best o line and 1 or 2 running back in the game to go along with a hall of Fame tight end and a true number one receiver. Fast forward, and the onion is peeled and you have a 4th round QB who has progressively gotten worse.
And Romo was called a choker that could never get it done. But his passing yards and QB rating sure looked good. So many Cowboy fans wanted Romo replaced after every loss. The reason I don’t give two shits what Cowboy writers and fans think of Dak, is that they wrote and said negative shit about Romo when he was throwing for 300 yards and losing. Hardly anybody had anything nice to say about Romo before 2014. Dak deserves some blame, but the issues have always been beyond QB. Even when Romo was here statpadding and losing. That's why its funny to me people bring up Dak stats. Romo had the stats but didn't get it done either.

Dak is already dealing with the same shit Romo did when he's part of the problem, BUT the least of the problems. The only difference is Dak isn't throwing for 300 yards and losing. Some of that can be because he doesn't have prime Witten as a security blanket like Romo did. Dak was fine until Witten and Dez began to decline. Dak has no security blanket now and people are seriously wondering why he's struggling? Romo never had it this bad, he always had Witten.

The way Romo was tore down by Cowboy fans and the media after throwing for 500 yards and 5 TDs and losing against the Broncos tells you all you need to know about this fan base and the media.

Dont put all Cowboy fans in that boat.
Many of us knew we always had a chance when Romo was playing.

Romo has every passing record in Cowboys history and a lot of ya'll wanted him gone after every loss. Stop pretending like you care about Dak passing yards.

LVE looked great yesterday, looks like a player. That said, this team cannot pass on a Calvin Ridley or DJ Moore next year

LVE was solid yesterday. He was not afraid to throw his hat in there yesterday. Good, because it is starting to look like we are going to be relying on LVE more than we might like. Sean Lee is getting towards the end of his rope, IMO. The guy can hardly play a game anymore without a hamstring or some other nagging injury popping up. Would not be surprised if this is Lee's last season in Dallas -- hard to keep relying on a guy who is rarely available when you need him the most.

LVE went from sideline to sideline making plays.

Dak is no where near the passer Romo was. Don't compare the two. I have no problem with Dak taking heat along with the coaches.

Sadly I have to agree that we may end up there. It just tears this team apart every time Lee gets hurt and he just gets hurt constantly. I hope he can stay healthy this year and we don't have to think about that because we are a different team with him on the field.
