One thing you’ll learn about this forum is you cannot say anything bad about Russell Wilson here. And to say Russell is not at fault along with the entire offense is crazy. He definitely has his flaws and is definitely some of the reasons we struggle at times the way we do. But he’s also the reason why we come back in games.

Elite QBs Make their offense their offensive lines better than they actually are.

I have been tracking your conversation and don’t necessarily disagree with what you’re saying. Seems like your conversation had gotten twisted and then unfairly summarized.

Yeah. Truth be told, we're probably all pretty much in agreement (give or take a little) on what Russell is and what he isn't. At the end of the day, it's better to argue about that than some of our old debates about Charlie Whitehurst vs. Tarvaris Jackson. ;)

All good - you and I go way back. As a whole, I think Wilson is a very good QB. Message boards and mediums such as these can turn into a place to vent (at least for me), so my thoughts on him probably appear to be more negative than they truly are. I get it - we're lucky to have one of the better QBs in the game. Just saw a few things over the first couple weeks that I thought were worthy of discussion.

We can all agree that the offense is way off right now. How much of that is pinned on Russell vs. Schotty vs. the OL, etc. is a tricky discussion.

The Boise logo made me think it might be you. Hard to tell who's who these days. Flyer, Dave, a couple of others use the same handle. Still in the NW?

Yep - still in Washington. Still have a fantasy league on this site, so once football season rolls around I log back in and talk Hawks. Can't keep up with all the other stuff like I used to though. Crazy to think I joined the old board at like 16 or something... Closing in on 30 now.

Heh, you're still just a kid. :)

Yep, hard to believe, I don't ever go into the political threads here. Makes the old place look like a church picnic.

This dude on youtube does great NFL breakdowns and just put up a video on the topic of Russ Wilson the Seahawks O-line.

He breaks down every sack so far this season and I mostly felt the same way he does after 2 games.

1) The o-line already looks better than last year. Not saying much, but they're not getting blown up on every play. Most of the trouble has come from Von Miller and Khalil Mack going against Ifedi. Also, they haven't had all the starters play together in a real game yet.

2) Russ held the ball way too long in the Bears game and about half of the sacks were on him. Something was definitely off in that game, but shit happens. I don't expect that to continue.

Once Russ and Shotty get on the same page, the offense will be smoother. Ifedi needs to be benched, he hasn't shown any improvement.
