The big problem is that he's still probably better than Hoyer.
The two main, valid reasons teams had for not signing him in the first place have only been exacerbated.
1. The sideshow aspect. We've had Trump get involved with the anthem controversy, and meanwhile Kaepernick has been named GQ Man of the Year and now this Nike deal. No GM in their right mind would expect bringing him in to result in anything less than the media making everything about Kaepernick and politics. No recipe for focusing on football and winning games.
2. He was benched for Blaine Gabbert, who's a decent backup QB for a not-very-good starting QB right now. If anyone thought he could play football at all then, there's even less of a reason to think so now after being away from football for 2 years.
I generally agree except his last year Gabbert was benched for Kaepernick
I dont think Kaep is worthy of a job in the NFL. between his (lack of) skill & baggage a team would have to deal with. The haters usually forget to recall that.

With that said. I dont care if some team (that isnt my team) signs him.
& really dont mind if the Pats or Raiders sign him.
I might even prefer the Skins or Giants sign him though because that would help my team. Wouldnt that be an irony. Alex Smith & Kaep back on the same team LOL
I wont argue he is better than some of these other guys that shouldnt have a job, but I think that is where the baggage comes into play.Yeah well.....
I think he is.
He has more skill than a lot still playing.
Folks are too fussed about baggage.
Orange face in the white house has nothing but baggage and everybody loves him.
The haters usually forget to recall that.

As an owner they are thinking bottom line. That trumps how good your back up that you hope never has to take the field is.
Like PolaWvortexIt's not personal. When a guy is a pussyfaggotcuntwhore, I tend to drop the 'r' in his name and replace it with a 'w'.
i love that dirty water - BingYeah but it's the River Charles which use to be filthy so some more could not hurt.
