Same here. IDT they faced much QB pressure at all vs the Saints.

Fitz had a good run in NY so this shouldn't be totally surprising, but sustaining this level or even close to it for the whole season will be new ground.

The come upins for Fitz start this Monday. The Steelers are the best bet I've seen this season

LOL...last week's game has yet to wear off my consciousness. After seeing some of the ALL22 breakdown of some of their coverages vs KC, I really have no idea what to think yet.

If they haven't figured out the TE down the seam, OJ Howard could kill'em.

Well here's Richard Sherman's take:

What can Sherman and the 49ers defense do to stop Mahomes and the speedy offensive weapons around him? The cornerback has already reviewed the film of Pittsburgh's loss and feels there are lessons to be learned from it.

"You just see what the defense is doing," Sherman said. "Are they playing sound? Are they playing efficiently? Or are there a ton of busts?

"There were a lot of busts in the Pittsburgh game. A lot of guys out of position. It looked like they just tried to do too much. They had a bunch of checks. Any time you try to scheme up for every single play you're going to get, it's going to be tough. I think they made it way too complicated.

"You know, [Mahomes] made great plays and great throws but there were a lot of guys running scot-free, buck naked, wide open. You've got to play more sound than that."

Ryan Fitzpatrick is the first quarterback of all time to start a season with two 4 touchdown and 400+ yard games.

Fitzpatrick's combined statistics so far this season through 2 games are 40/53, 742 yds, 8 TDs, 1 INT.

For the record, I made a mistake and was looking at the wrong numbers on that second line above, hence that second line contradicting the first line's stats regarding yardage.

His stats are actually even better than that. Through 2 games, he is:

48/61 (78.7%), 854 yds (819 passing), 9 TDs (8 passing), 1 INT

I wouldn’t be surprised if fitz has an MVP like year. People say he’s inconsistent, and he has been, but players continue to grow. I could see him consistently dominating in that offense.

I missed this thread but I didn't miss him.

I loved it.

Aside from being deadly when hot, he is the perfect backup.

Because when he's called upon, he gets hot!

And then time passes. I'd take him in Dallas.

I'm really not a beard fan though.

PIT provided the perfect tape of what not to do vs KC...like putting your slowest ILB in coverage on a pro bowl TE.

I remember when he played for us. Those were dark times.

Still better than Carson Palmer.

Ryan Fitzpatrick is now over 400 passing yards in today's game. He is the first player in NFL history to throw for over 400 yards in three consecutive games.

Jenna Laine said:
Quote of the night: Mike Evans said Ryan Fitzpatrick turned to him at halftime (when they were down 20 points) and said, "For some odd reason I love f——— football. I love it." Evans told him, "Yeah, I'm with you. I love it too."

He has very good games, but has never had the stamina to become a franchise QB.

Is FitzMagic back? After throwing 4 interceptions, Jameis Winston was benched in the third quarter with the Buccaneers down 16-34, whereupon Fitzpatrick almost brought the Buccaneers back, storming back to a 34-34 tie before the Bengals ultimately prevailed 37-34.
