I really wonder how many of them were still smoking in the late 90s on.

I think a lot of the guys who "couldn't keep up" after the 05 lockout and the game changes that resulted in everything speeding up were the guys who smoked in the change room.

You always have those exceptions though like Guy Lafleur and Mario Lemieux who smoked and it certainly didn't seem to have a negative impact on their play.

/Kiprusoff as well, but all goalies are crazy :D

Anyone else in a similar boat? I know most of you are fans of teams that weren’t as consistently horrible as the Leafs were during that span but…well…Hey Buffalo fans?

In the late 70's and early 80's I was a fan of the Baltimore Colts and in the 90's I was a fan of the Baltimore Orioles.

I only really remember a select few names of people I would like to stab in the face for being so awful (I am looking at you Bert Jones).

/Kiprusoff as well, but all goalies are crazy :D

Well, this has pissed me off to no end...

Dolphin and dozens of penguins abandoned in derelict Japanese aquarium

Ex staffers are still feeding the dolphin, and the 46 penguins plus other fish and reptiles. But still. An animal as smart as humans and more social just left in isolation in a tank since January...

Jeez ... after seeing The Cove so many years ago Im surprised that dolphin hasnt already been turned in sushi ... SOMEONE HAS DROPPED THE BALL HERE!!!

Went and looked up who Tim Brent was and didn’t even recall that he was a Leaf for a year.

Then dawned on me that while at the time I could name the whole roster I can only name maybe 3 or 4 guys on the Leafs every year from 2007-2014.

And it was then that I realized that my brain actually does purge the terrible, god-awful things that my team did over the years and this is probably why I am capable of happiness today. Brains are awesome.

Anyone else in a similar boat? I know most of you are fans of teams that weren’t as consistently horrible as the Leafs were during that span but…well…Hey Buffalo fans?
Yeah he was a Penguin for a minute also. Sadly I do remember him because he was the "best" player on their AHL team that season.

As for purging the memories of when the Penguins were awful, unfortunately I can't. Rico Fata can't ever be forgotten.

Better Tim Horton's owner than hockey player!

Hey, at least you got the bulk of his 27 NHL goals (21 of them)

/He played parts of three seasons with the Flames (the team that drafted him 6th overall back in '98) and he scored 0 goals.

He was the epitome of a figure skater with a hockey stick.

They Penguins the one season had a line with him, Milan Kraft and Konstantin Koltsov. It was like you were watching the ice capades and not the NHL.
