It's weird for me to think that they're still talking about making that Space Jam sequel 4 years later, when they were first talking about it when LeBron went back to Cleveland. IMO it won't really be the same since he left the Cavs and so much time has passed since the idea first came up. I feel like the fact that Jordan spent his entire career with the Bulls as well as being the undisputed face of the league sort of meant something for the first film. At this point, LeBron is a 4-team all-star. Just seems lame to do it right after he headed to L.A.

yah i kind of agree.....LeBron has kind of made himself a man without a nation. HE has left Cleveland twice, left Miami on bad terms...and now comes to LA to play in his age 34 season to a city that is notoriously fair-weather about its sports while having practically no chance at getting a title this year.

In that way he was smart- he knew that it would be very hard for him to win a title while GSW is still together so instead he decided to focus on making movies and growing his media empire.

I guess, instead of Durant's, "if you cant beat em join em"....LeBron decided "if you cant beat them- move to Hollywood and focus on your business opportunities and make movies".

So how can they even remake it? Jordan starts off the movie doing something James can't do and that is play baseball.

What does the team he plays for have to do with it? He's still the best player in the world and he's still the face of the NBA.

Had MJ switched teams, I seriously doubt it would have stopped the first movie from being made.

I just hope it's a sequel rather than a re-make.

Good. Don't want to see a re-make. We already know that there will be a "Whose Space Jam was better?" debate with a sequel. It would probably be even worse with a re-make. lol

I watched Uncle Drew for the first time last night. It was pretty good. Funniest scene was the church scene.

One thing is for sure, by signing with Klutch both AD and Draymond are definitely appearing in Space Jam 2.

One of fhe new Monstarrs is gonna have a big ol unibrow, and another gonna have big ol donkey teeth.

I saw a copy of the script, and spoiler alert. Lebron actually uses his agent to not "collude" with the Monstars to team up with him to form a team that might actually get to compete against the Warriors.

Why? Because Hollywood is right around the corner?

The world has opened up for him since he left cleveland for LA.
I get the first part, but with things like phones, computers and planes I doubt he felt limited here.

we even have running water.
Lake Erie's finest

But seriously, you know that phones and computers haven't gotten rid of the importance of agglomeration and face to face interaction in most industries, right? There's a reason tech is still centered in the Bay Area, movies in LA, and finance in New York.
