Several Jets players also claimed to know the plays because Cooter is so predictable. Hard to qb well when the defense knows the play.

But the game was lost, imo, when the defense allowed the Jets to march right down the field and score a touchdown immediately after we opened the second half with a TD drive. The air left the sails of the team right then and there. It shouldn't have, but it did. That was all she wrote.

Call me crazy but I am betting the 5 INTs and the ST TD had a little more to do with it. Giving the opponent a ST TD, a pic 6 TD and 3 possessions inside the 30 is not exactly a recipe for winning.

There is apparently 1 poster on this board who does not think it is a problem because he kept deflecting to the defense every time I posted this exact thing when the game was on.

Even my dad who is a million years old and does not see too well and knows not too much about football mentioned it. He was like "I dont understand why they keep doing that same play over and over again". All I could do was laugh.

The Lions did little to nothing to address defense in the offseason, and it showed. That said, the offense and special teams did the defense no favors.

I remember a bubble screen call on 3rd and 14 and the Jets IMMEDIATELY shut that shit down for a loss. I remember thinking to myself that is seemed like they knew that was coming.

Special teams was unbelievably bad as well.
They gave up so many chunk plays.
